14.11.2007 - Re Shadow of Yserbius

Dear Sue and Alex,
Thank you very much for providing all the hints and maps.  I picked up an unopened game at a thrift shop.  My nephew installed it for me and it is a great game though I find it difficult as a solo player especially when I do not have a good memory. I assume you were able to complete the game as a solo player.  I wish I can see a three dimensional map. I am addicted.
Sylvia

Thanks for your email which I passed to Alex too. Glad you're enjoying Yserbius. Yes I played it solo too. I really enjoyed it and drawing out the maps. Didn't finish Twinion though - do you have that one too? Do let me know how you get on with it.

Thanks very much for your email. Though I'm still uploading files and solutions etc to the site I don't often hear that people have found it useful (though it gets a lot of visitors). I'm still friends with Alex and will pass a copy of your email to him.

24.2.2008 - Re Computer Novel Construction Set

Hello Sue Medley
I
found your website quite by accident. A number of years ago, I wrote a couple of (amateur) games titled Prelude and Voyager based on the Computer Novel Construction Set (Heyden Software and Robin Computing I think). I couldn't believe these were still around (and wow, they did indeed get around). Also, I found a review by Jean Childs:
Prelude - a PC game available from the SynTax library.

I had always thought the voyager game was much better. These bring back memories for me too. They were written for the old 8-16 MHz machines (maybe that's the reason the windows pop up so fast?). I just want to say thank you for running the website.

Best Regards,
Michael A. Parker (MAP)

Michael also asked if I knew where he could get hold of a copy of the old Computer Novel Construction Set software, then emailed again to say he'd found it on a few places including Underdogs at
