Questprobe 2 : Spiderman - Scott Adams

At the start of the game you (Spiderman) have your spider-sense to 
warn you of any dangers.  You can lift and carry almost any object 
and can stick to walls, ceilings etc.  You cannot spin any webs as 
your  web fluid has run out,  but temporary web fluid can be  made 
later on in the game.

The object of this game is to collect all 18 gems, including   the 
bio-gem  and store them at Madame Web's location,  which is  north 
twice  from  where you start.   Most of the gems are held  by  the 
Super-powered  villains, the others  are hidden in  the  different
rooms.   Information  about all of the villains can be  gained  by 
reading  the  instruction  booklet and extra  information  can  be 
gathered  from  Madame  Web by  typing SCAN LIZARD or SCAN ELECTRO
etc.


The  solution - You start in a  hallway. JUMP UP onto the 
ceiling. WEST. EXAMINE CRIB (you find baby formula). EXAMINE CRIB
(you find a *GEM). TAKE GEM. EAST. EAST (you arrive at an elevator).
OPEN DOORS (using your super-strength!). ENTER SHAFT.

EXAMINE TOOL NICHES (a *GEM !). TAKE GEM. UP. EXAMINE TOOL
NICHES (another *GEM !!). TAKE GEM. UP. EXAMINE TOOL NICHES  
(yet another *GEM !!!). TAKE GEM. PUSH UP (moves the elevator out
of the way). UP. EXAMINE TOOL NICHES (guess what ?). TAKE GEM.  
WEST.

You are now in J.J.Jameson's penthouse - TAKE DESK. OPEN DESK.
TAKE GEM. TAKE COUCH. LOWER THE THERMOSTAT ( * * Repeat this
command until thermostat is at its lowest * * ). RIP PAINTING (who
likes J.J.J. anyway?! Wait! What's this? Torn Paper - WEB
FORMULA!!!). TAKE TORN PAPER. ENTER SHAFT. DOWN. WEST. WEST. SOUTH.

TAKE EXOTIC CHEMICALS. NORTH. NORTH. MAKE WEB FORMULA (partial
success only!). DROP TORN PAPER. SOUTH. SOUTH. TAKE ACID. TAKE
CALCIUM. NORTH. NORTH. MAKE FORMULA (a formula to turn the Lizard
back to his former self). TAKE CALCIUM. SOUTH. EAST. ENTER SHAFT.
DOWN. DOWN. WEST. WEST. SOUTH.

THROW CALCIUM AT LIZARD (he turns back to Doctor Conners). TAKE
CONNERS. NORTH. NORTH. SHOOT WEB AT BIO GEM (got it!). TAKE GEM.
NORTH. EXAMINE CONNERS (a *Gem!). DROP GEM (repeat this command
until you have no gems left). SOUTH. EAST. 

TAKE ICE STATUE (previously Hydro-man until you froze him by 
lowering the temperature with the thermostat, remember?). WEST.
SOUTH. EAST. ENTER SHAFT. UP. WEST. WEST. JUMP UP. OPEN MESH
(reveals a duct). DROP MESH (you do not need it). ENTER DUCT.

SHOOT WEB AT FAN (type this command five times to slow the fan
down enough for you to shoot the button behind the fan). SHOOT WEB
AT BUTTON (this then stops the fan). TAKE GEM. ENTER FAN. TAKE
GEM. DOWN (repeat command until you meet Dr Octopus and Electro).

(* * *  WARNING - If spider-sense tingles when you enter this room 
then IMMEDIATELY type UP. Type DOWN again to re-enter room. If
spider-sense does not tingle then continue, otherwise repeat these 
instructions!  * * *)

GRAB DOCTOR OCTOPUS. HIT ELECTRO. (this will stun Electro and at 
the same time Electro will pass electricity through you and stun 
Doctor Octopus.) TAKE OCTOPUS. TAKE ELECTRO. EXAMINE OCTOPUS.
TAKE GEM. EXAMINE ELECTRO. TAKE GEM. WEST.

DROP OCTOPUS. DROP ELECTRO. DROP CONNERS. DROP STATUE. DROP DESK.
DROP COUCH. (this will weigh down the floor.) TAKE GEM. EAST. UP
(repeat this command until you find the fan again) ENTER FAN. DOWN.
DOWN. FEEL NORTH. TAKE GEM. SOUTH. FEEL SOUTH. TAKE GEM. NORTH.  
EAST. EAST. ENTER SHAFT. UP. UP. WEST. RAISE THERMOSTAT (repeat
this command until thermostat is at its highest). ENTER SHAFT.
DOWN. WEST. WEST. CLOSE EYES. WEST.
 
(Ringmaster is inside this room and would have hypnotised you if
you had had your eyes open.) PUSH KNOB. TURN KNOB (this gets
rid of Ringmaster.) OPEN EYES. TAKE GEM. GO COMPUTER. TYPE RUN
(starts the printing presses.) EAST. EAST. GO SHAFT. DOWN.
WEST. WEST. JUMP UP. GO DUCT. GO FAN. DOWN (repeat this
command until you reach the room again.) GET NEWSPAPER. UP
(repeat this command until you reach the fan.) GO FAN. DOWN.  
EAST. EAST. ENTER SHAFT. DOWN. WEST. WEST. NORTH. NORTH.

EAST. TAKE AQUARIUM. WEST. NORTH. OPEN NEWSPAPER. EMPTY AQUARIUM.
DROP GEM (repeat this command until all gems in your possession
have been dropped.)

Then type SCORE to complete the game!
