Top Ten Following Steven King's suggestion for a SynTax readers' Top 10 list of their all-time favourite adventures, here are some lists: ------------------------------------------------------------------ From Alex van Kaam, Deurne, The Netherlands 1. Dungeon Master (Will always be number one) 2. Chaos Strikes Back (It's great but will always be second) 3. Xenomorph (It's the SF part that makes it nice) 4. Ultima V (L A R G E, I still have some town maps) 5. Phantasie 1 (This was my first RPG and is still great) 6. Drakkhen (Not very user-friendly but nice graphics) 7. Time and Magik (Yes, an adventure, one of the best I played) 8. Demon's Winter (It's still my biggest map on paper) 9. Bard's Tale (No Knights of Destiny on the ST - why?) 10.Zork I and III (I didn't know which one to choose) @~As you can see, Alex is a keen RPGer! The second list received @~is as different from Alex's as you can get.... From Neil Shipman, Bristol Trinity, Beyond Zork, Wishbringer, Sorcerer, Stationfall, Lurking Horror, Zork II, Ballyhoo, Spellbreaker and Plundered Hearts. Well, what a surprise - they're all Infocom! Magnetic Scrolls' Fish! and Level 9's Gnome Ranger nearly got a look in but, in the end, I decided that these Infocom titles stood head and shoulders above anyone else's offerings. The list would have been different had I not stuck to ones which were available for the ST. Now that I have a PC emulator fitted I'm able to play adventures like Journey and Zork Zero - and both these would definitely get into my top 10. @~Zork Zero would certainly be my number one adventure if it was @~available on the ST. I'll give my list next issue by which time, @~perhaps some other readers will send in their lists too. In the @~meantime, I'll award 10 pts for a number 1 game down to 1 pt for @~a tenth choice. The running total is as follows: 10 pts Dungeon Master, Trinity 9 pts Chaos, Beyond Zork 8 pts Xenomorph, Wishbringer 7 pts Ultima V, Sorcerer 6 pts Phantasie 1, Stationfall 5 pts Drakkhen, Lurking Horror 4 pts Time and Magik, Zork II 3 pts Demon's Winter, Ballyhoo 2 pts Bard's Tale 1, Spellbreaker 1 pt Plundered Hearts 1/2 pt Zork I, Zork III
