Top Ten Good grief! - I hadn't realised how hard it was to work out a Top Ten of my own until I sat down to do it. Certain games leap out at you, begging to be included but in other cases I wavered. Excluding the PC games Zork Zero and Spellcasting which would be up at the top if we were counting PC games too, here's my final, final choice....Sue 1. Beyond Zork - Great puzzles and atmosphere. 2. Demon's Winter - The only RPG I have finished so far. It took 8 months and I loved it! 3. Enchanter - I enjoy games with magic in 'em. 4. Ingrid's Back - I was torn between this and Gnome Ranger. Okay, it's a bit cute but it was good fun. 5. Manhunter San Francisco - Just beat Police Quest 1 into the list. Nice to have the option of easy arcade sequences. 6. Sleeping Gods Lie - Fun to map and play. Arcade bits easy too. 7. Ermm... Lurking Horror - Just beat Trinity. An excellent example of a text game that would have been ruined by including graphics. 8. Jade Stone - I wish Linda would decide to convert more of her Spectrum games to the ST. 9. Cortizone - Only just finished it but I was impressed enough to include it. 10. Wizard's Tower - Might only be PD but it was an excellent first effort from a new author. The running total is now: 26 pts Dungeon Master 20 pts Chaos Strikes Back 19 pts Beyond Zork, Lurking Horror 15 pts Xenomorph 14 pts Stationfall 12 pts Demon's Winter 11 pts Manhunter San Francisco 10 pts Trinity 9 pts Jinxter 8 pts Wishbringer, Zak McKracken, Enchanter 7 pts Ultima V, Sorcerer, Loom, Ingrid's Back 6 pts Phantasie 1, Captive 5 pts Drakkhen, Zork II, Manhunter New York, Jacaranda Jim, Sleeping Gods Lie 4 pts Time and Magik, Planetfall 3 pts Ballyhoo, Guild of Thieves, Deja Vu, Jade Stone 2 pts Bard's Tale 1, Spellbreaker, Infestation, Fish, Cortizone 1 pt Plundered Hearts, Future Wars, Wizard's Tower 1/2 pt Zork I, Zork III What about some more lists, please, folks?
