News Sierra News: There will be another two new Sierra games released ----------- in the autumn. I still haven't caught up with the last six! The recently announced games will be Police Quest III and a second game in Christy Marx's 'Conquest' series, Conquests of the Longbow. Not surprisingly, this will feature Robin Hood and will use the same icon interface as Space Quest IV. Most of the icons will be the same as those in SQ4 but 'smell' and 'taste' will be replaced by 'weapon' and 'map/travel'. Also from Sierra: Mark Crowe, who with Scott Murphy designed the ---------------- above-mentioned Space Quest series, is leaving Sierra to work for Dynamix. However the possibility of a fifth Space Quest adventure hasn't been ruled out entirely ..... Leather Goddesses II: As mentioned here last issue, Activision -------------------- have had the follow-up to Steve Meretzky's hilarious adventure on hold for a l-o-ng time. It now looks possible that it will be released as an Activision game rather than as an Infocom game. DIY Bard's Tale: PC owners can expect to see Interplay's Bard's --------------- Tale Construction Set sometime in July and can then design their own games. Meanwhile, ST owners are still waiting to see Bard's Tale II.... Budgie from Barnsley!: John Barnsley's Adventurer's PD Library now --------------------- also contains the whole range of Budgie Licenceware disks for the ST. One new addition is Dark Wars, an RPG with 3D view looking v-e-r-y similar to Dungeon Master but costing a mere œ2.95. For details of John's PD service, see his ad elsewhere in this issue. The RBA continues: Those of you who subscribed to The Adventurers ----------------- Club Ltd will know that it recently closed for ever - sad news. The GOOD news is that 3 of the original reviewing team are starting The Adventure & Strategy Club. The Reference Book of Adventure will continue to be produced bi-monthly from September '91 and members will have access to a helpline, discounted software etc. For more details contact Hazel Miller, The Adventure & Strategy Club, 17 Sheridan Road, London E12 6QT. Quest for Clues: From reading QuestBusters it looks as though the --------------- first Quest for Clues book has been deleted. It seems a strange bit of marketing as the adventures covered in it are still played a lot today. So if you want to get Clues 1, you'd better be quick - if you see it, buy it, because you may not get another chance. Further releases: No format news on these but some games due out ---------------- later in the year are Star Trek - The 25th Anniversary Edition, Ultima VII and a follow-up to Bane of the Cosmic Forge.
