Contributions My thanks to this issue's contributors: The Rochdale Balrog, Dave Barker, John Barnsley, Jay Blank, John Carter, Bill Commons, Steve Cook, Phil Darke, Joan Dunn, "Kedenan", Alan Medley, Ron Rainbird, Neil Shipman, George Smith, Ian Taylor, Graham Wheeler and to everyone who has been in touch since the last issue. As an added incentive to contributors, a points system is running from Issue 12 for contributions at a rate of 1 point per published K of information (reviews, solutions, hints, articles etc). At the end of a year (ie next issue, 17), prizes will be awarded to the five individuals who have contributed the most information. The winners' points will be zeroed and everyone else's points will be carried forward for the next year. Prizes will be on the lines of SynTax subs, software and PD disks. I've been asked to include a more detailed full points list from now on, so here it is, from 5pts upwards: Dave Barker 82.5 Graham Wheeler 80.6 Neil Shipman 79.2 Colin Campbell 70.5 Henry Rushing 37.9 Ian Taylor 32.2 Ron Rainbird 28.0 Marion Taylor 26.8 Tony Woolcock 22.6 John Carter 19.5 The Wayfarer 17.7 The Grue! 13.3 Claire Dyard 12.6 George Smith 12.3 The Rochdale Balrog 10.4 "Kedenan" 9.9 Paul Cardin 9.0 Joan Dunn 9.0 Matthew Pegg 8.8 High Voltage 7.7 Alan Beer 7.5 STormbringer 6.9 Phil Darke 6.0 Andrew Stenhouse 6.0 Jack Lockerby 5.9 Bill Commons 5.8 Steve Cook 5.4 So, if you have any contributions for future issues of SynTax, please send them in. They can be for old or new games and of virtually any length. You can send hints, solutions, reviews, maps, articles - anything! Ideally they should arrive before the 15th of the month before the disk is produced to be sure of being included in the next issue. Second opinions of adventures are always welcome - especially if you disagree with the original review. Hints for games are also needed, even after the solution has been published, as some people prefer hints. Ideally, I'd like all ST and PC contributions in ASCII form on disk and, if you send on disk, I'll replace it with the PD disk of your choice. If you'd prefer a shareware disk, you'll have to send œ1.00 as well to cover the author's fee. As I haven't got an Amiga, contributions from Amiga owners should be sent as printouts, hand-written or on disk by using ST Writer and the emulator. If you're sending hints, the "3-in-1" format would be preferred, with a maximum of 63 characters/line. Maps can be sent in any form you like so long as they are clear.
