Contributions My thanks to this issue's contributors: The Rochdale Balrog, John Barnsley, Graham Cluley, Joan Dunn, Steven Fleischaker, The Grue!, Alex van Kaam, "Kedenan", Matthew Pegg, Ron Rainbird, Neil Shipman, Graham Wheeler. Special thanks to Michael J. Roberts for this issue's interview. As an added incentive to contributors, a points system has been running from Issue 12 for contributions at a rate of 1 point per published K of information (reviews, solutions, hints, articles etc). The year is now up and prizes have been awarded to the five individuals who have contributed the most information. The winners were: 1st - Neil Shipman with 104.6K of info, 2nd - Graham Wheeler with 98K of info, 3rd - Dave Barker with 82.5K of info, 4th - Colin Campbell with 70.5K of info, 5th - Alex van Kaam with 44.3K of info. Neil has been awarded a year's free sub to SynTax, Graham 5 free issues, Dave 4, Colin 3 and Alex 2. Neil, Graham and Dave also each won a 3" Myth and Magic figure from the series produced by Tudor Mint and Colin and Alex each got a miniature figure in the same range. Neil's figure came with a wooden base and specially engraved 'SynTax Contributor of the Year 1991-92' plaque. Congratulations to all of you. The winners' points have been zeroed and everyone else's points carried forward for the next year. So in Issue 23, the next lot of winners will be announced. Thanks to everyone who has contributed over the last year and made the production of SynTax possible - you're ALL winners and I'm just sorry the SynTax coffers can't afford to give all of you prizes. At least with this system, everyone has the chance to reach the top of the list if they keep contributing on a regular basis. So here is the new points list, from 2pts upwards: Henry Rushing 37.9 Ron Rainbird 37.8 Ian Taylor 32.2 Tony Woolcock 22.6 "Kedenan" 19.5 John Carter 19.5 The Wayfarer 17.7 Matthew Pegg 17.6 The Grue! 17.2 Steven Fleischaker 16.3 The Rochdale Balrog 15.0 Claire Dyard 12.6 George Smith 12.3 Paul Cardin 9.0 High Voltage 7.7 Alan Beer 7.5 STormbringer 6.9 Phil Darke 6.0 Andrew Stenhouse 6.0 Jack Lockerby 5.9 Bill Commons 5.8 Steve Cook 5.4 Roy Sims 2.7 Graham Cluley 2.3 Danny Pearman 2.2 So, if you have any contributions for future issues of SynTax, please send them in. They can be for old or new games and of virtually any length. You can send hints, solutions, reviews, maps, articles - anything! Ideally they should arrive before the 15th of the month before the disk is produced to be sure of being included in the next issue. Second opinions of adventures are always welcome - especially if you disagree with the original review. Ideally, I'd like all ST and PC contributions in ASCII form on disk and, if you send on disk, I'll replace it with the PD disk of your choice. As I haven't got an Amiga, contributions from Amiga owners should be sent as printouts, hand-written or on disk by using ST Writer and the emulator. If you're sending hints, the "3-in-1" format would be preferred, with a maximum of 63 characters/line. Maps can be sent in any form you like.
