Abandoned Places (Electronic Zoo) - Part 2 Wyrm Hills Solution by Brian Burke @~Continued from the last file. Wyrm Hills: The task is to find the first of three sections of the Scroll. Map opening level on an 11 x 12 grid, first stairs up 13 x 13. Teleport level from opening level 29 x 17. Scorpion pit 8 x 3. Other pit 11 x 8. Bottom level from second set of stairs 29 x 28. Second teleport room level 9 x 10. Enter room with columns. Go left to door and then head straight on to find stairs going up. Turn left to find white key next to web and receive message. Go to other end of room to kill spider and find a rope. Ropes are needed to climb down pits and are consumed each time one is used. Back down the stairs to use white key on right hand room just before you enter the first (column) room. Fight dwarves for red key and white key. Find two chests, one of which contains a yellow key. Enter door that is on your left as you entered room, using the red key. Kill baddie and go to the right hand far corner to trigger a wall opening to the left of stairs that led to the spider. En route to this area, use the white key on the door to the right of the stairs, kill dwarf for a red key. DO NOT walk down the centre of this room or you will be irretrievably trapped by pressure plates down the centre of the room. You can walk round the edge. Enter revealed area and press button on wall at end to be teleported to another area. Walking left will lead to a water area. Use Swimming spell and cross water, kill dwarf for red key. If you don't have Swimming spell or potion then try Levitate spell or potion. Go left hand wall to find a lever and a button on the wall. One of these opens up a wall in another level but I don't know which. Head on through door, you get a message if you walk to corner straight ahead and go left - 'Supplies are in the Attic'. No, I don't know what it means either. Go left through door to kill dwarf for money. If you can access the next door you meet a baddie. I don't think the next door will open unless the button in the water room activates it? Return via water to opening room and turn left through door to find a pit. Beyond the pit are two spiders to kill. Climbing down the pit with a rope you fight scorpions for points. Use Climb to exit pit, return to start room and go left to find web. Clear web to find jade. This junction will be sealed but will be opened when a button is pressed later in the level. Return yet again to the start area and go left to use a red key on a door. Go left to enter another door, kill spider and find chest with money, blue key and a green key. Through the door is a room with fire. I didn't find anything here but then again I haven't got Walk On Fire ability at this stage. Head back and go past dwarf home on the left to find a door ahead and to right. Open right hand door with blue key and press buttons on wall. These open up passage where jade was found. Go to this area. Going right leads to stairs up which go to a room. The yellow key opens the door. Head up the spider stairs again, turn right to find passage revealed by either the button or lever next to the water. Enter this area and go left to find gold beyond a column. Exit room and go opposite door, fight for money. Leaving room at the bottom end will save spell points ie avoiding use of Fire Path on the webs. Bearing right enter bottom door to find chest of potions including a Levitate spell. Exit and enter room opposite where a torch, a rope and a broad sword can be found to the right of the columns. Return to the hallway with the two sets of stairs and take the stairs down. Another hallway is entered, go down again. Note alcove here. At base of stairs go left, open door to find a rope on left. There's a pit to the right. The pit can be crossed using the Levitate bottle or spell but there's little of note through here. If the spell runs out before you can re-cross the pit just climb down and out again. Each time you climb out you exit next to the logs. Don't go down the pit just yet. Return back past the stairs and take the second passage on the left to find a lever. Pull this to open a door immediately to the left of this passage/alcove. Fight scorpion and find torch behind logs on the left of this room. Exit room and go down, passing another entrance to the room you've just exited on the left. Fight baddie down this passageway. Find what is now door number three and open with red key. Kill scorpion to obtain a green key. The other door in the room can be opened with a red key but there's little point in doing it. Exit room the way you entered and bearing left come to a junction. Go left and pass passage on left. Go straight to a junction. Turning left will bring you to a fire room. Skirt past fire to find a potion in the top left alcove of this room and a torch behind the plants. Remember the route to this area from the pit as you'll need to move fast back here once you leave the pit area. More of that later. Retrace steps to carry on straight down the passage, passing the entrance junction on the right. Find a door round a bend and enter room with plant. Fight ogre - who said two heads are better than one? Find a torch behind web on left. Exit room noting door to your left. Return to the pit and use rope to climb down. Fight ogre to obtain a white key. Open door with one of your two green keys. Go to far corner to activate pressure plate. Quickly return to the fire room. If you're speedy enough you'll find a scorpion near the fire. Kill and turn around to find another scorpion in the passage behind you. Don't know where they come from but when you've zapped them you can now enter another room. To find this room return along passage to the room where the ogre was fought and where a torch was found behind a web. Go through the door to the room with two logs and a plant. The door should now be open. Ignore the two webs in this new room. Open the cupboard here to find a green key and a broad sword. (Disclaimer - er ... I'm not sure about this bit above. Reason is I didn't know I was going to write a walkthrough and have a habit of playing whilst listening to U2 blasting my eardrums out. It was only between tracks that I heard the pressure plate activate so there MAY have been more of the same IF this solution doesn't do the trick for this section. The same could be true for doors you come to that are closed and think - how the blazes did he get in there?) Exit room and go left. Keep left and use white key on door. Fight ogre to obtain a red key. Now return to pit and open the door in the far corner of this room. In pit area use green key on door in room with pressure plate. Go right and pull lever. The door behind can be opened with a blue key BUT there is nothing in here and the blue key is needed elsewhere. Now return up through the pit to find this blue key. Back to the room you've just left to find door opened and blue key in an alcove to the right. The door can be opened with the remaining green key. Fight ogre for potion and find goodies and a blue key in chest. Go through door to find gold behind logs after scorpion fight. Through next door to find yellow key behind plant. Push plant to one side to clear wall. You will be teleporting into the room behind this one in a while and the exit is through here. Return to pit area and continue through lever room to open door and fight scorpion. Use blue key on the next door. There's nothing here but you need this door open in case you inadvertently teleport here. We've now done down the pit so back up and bear right past the staircase. Keep right to go down passage. Enter first door on the left to kill ogre and fight again when enter next door. Go straight on to fight scorpion through the next door. Bear right through door to activate pressure plate. Return back through two rooms to find wall has disappeared to reveal logs. Push logs and pull lever. This opens ... I don't know what? Now go to the room opposite the stairs and access with blue key. Kill scorpion and go past logs to open door in a teleport room. There are five levers. The extreme left lever teleports you to another teleport area. The second from the left seals the door behind you. The centre lever I don't know. The second from the right takes you to the alcove I asked you to note in the hall with stairs between levels. The extreme right lever I'm not sure - but may take you to the room where the yellow key was behind the plant we later moved. Pull the lever on the extreme left. In this new teleport lever room, the extreme left lever takes you back to the teleport room you just left. The second from left I don't know. The centre lever opens up the wall to the right. The second from right lever teleports to the room we opened with the blue key in the pit area. The extreme right lever definitely takes you to the room behind where the yellow key was found. (If you decide to go here a scorpion is killed for a blue key. Turn left then to find a lever on the wall that opens up the wall where the plant was. Return then to the second teleport room.) Pull the middle lever in the second teleport room to open the wall to the right. Bear right past logs to open door and fight. Use yellow key on next door and bingo! The Scroll, and other treasures, is in a chest between the logs. Exit the dungeon and take Scroll to Mage at Kal Kalon. He will now give you a long list of places to visit to find Ruling Symbols as well as the rest of the Scroll. Scroll at - The Steps Mystic Mountains - I found part of the Globe here, not the Scroll. Sword of Darkness - first of three pieces at Broken Isles. Staff of Supremacy - first of three pieces at Sands of Fire. Globe of Forthcoming - first of three pieces at Seer's Point. I then proceeded to spend hours searching The Steps and the Mystic Mountains for entrances - wrong! Head for Seer's Point after the usual Class Promotion visit. I'm pretty certain that you can access the Broken Isles or the Sands of Fire at this point also. @~See next file for the next part of this solution.
