Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (Lucasfilms) Part 1 - Intro and Path A: Working as a Team Solution by Kev Phillips NOTE: There are some random elements in the game, both in the original locations of objects and sometimes in the use to which they are put eg if you have to give an object to a character. However this solution should push you in the right direction when you get stuck! New York: -------- 1. Pick up newspaper from stand. 2. Walk to side alley. 3. Open door. A heavy will come out and challenge you. In Theatre: ---------- 1. Use talk options in the following order: a,b,a,c,c. You will be let in. If you get it wrong you have to fight. 2. Talk to stagehand twice. Talk to him again. Use the following options: b,a,a. 3. Give stagehand newspaper. 4. Push left-hand lever. Lights on control go amber. 5. Push right-hand lever. Lights go green. 6. Push button. In Room: ------- Use options: a,a,b,a,b,a. Iceland: ------- 1. Enter old dig site. 2. Talk to Bjorn. Use the following options: a,b,c,c,b,a,c,c,b,c. Azores: ------ 1. Talk to Sophia with option b Sophia talks to man with options: b,a,a,c,a,a,a. Tikal: ----- 1. Walk through jungle and try to climb tree. Indy refuses (he won't go near snake). 2. Position Indy so that he is to the left of the jungle rodent and the rodent is in the middle of three positions. This may require a degree of movement around the jungle and even making rodent leave jungle near car and re-entering. Use whip with jungle rodent. The rodent will eventually run out and be eaten by snake. 3. Use tree. 4. Meet Sophia, use option a. 5. Try to pick up lamp. Man comes out. Use talk options: a,a,a,a,a,a,a,b. Answer incorrectly. 6. Talk to parrot. He repeats last word ie Title and provides more information. Repeat 5 and 6 until you get it right. 7. Answer with Hemocrates. In Temple: --------- 1. Talk to Sternhart with options c,b,a. 2. Talk to Sophia, use option b. 3. Exit temple and get lamp from stall. 4. Return to Temple. 5. Look at spiral design. One on the left-hand side is different. 6. Open kerosene lamp and use on spiral design. 7. Pull spiral and use on animal head. It becomes an elephant. 8. Pull elephant trunk. Doors open to reveal a body. 9. Sternhart runs off with treasure leaving behind a stone. 10. Pick up stone. Iceland: ------- Bjorn is frozen solid Use stone in eel figurine. It melts itself out of wall. Azores: ------ 1. Trade eel figurine. You're told book of Plato is in a collection at Barnett college. New York: -------- 1. Go to basement of college and pick up coal. Pick up dirty rag. 2. Open furnace. 3. Climb stairs. 4. Climb rope. 5. Pick up arrowhead. Depending upon collection type either use the following: a. Use dirty rag with arrowhead, use on screw in bookcase. b. Open bookcase. You will pick up book. Alternatively: a. Look at desk. b. Pick up gum, go to basement. c. Use gum with coalshoot. d. Pick up smallest cat. e. Walk down coalshoot. f. Use wax cat in furnace. You will get the manuscript. NOTE: you need the gum later. 6. Leave building. Open office door. 7. Read manuscript. 8. Open ice box, pick up jar. 9. Use options b,a,a,a,a,c,b,b when talking to Sophia. At this point you can choose a path. *** PATH A: Working as a Team *** ------------------------- Monte Carlo: ----------- 1. Use options b,b,b,b,b. 2. Talk to man in brown coat using options b,b,a (horoscope), a (wife) (freaks of nature). Answer questions on Plato's dialogue. When correct use options b,a. Go to a room in the hotel. 3. Use options a,c,a,b,a. Choose number of fingers (this is random), get stone. 4. Walk to door. 5. Use taxi. Algiers: ------- 1. Walk to back alley. 2. Talk to shopkeeper: b,b,a,a,a,a. 3. You're given two camels which die: option b, you're given a mask. 4. Talk to grocer a,a,a,b,b,b. 5. Walk to back alley. Talk to Omar: options b,b,b,b,b,a. Take spectacles. 6. Talk to grocer, offer spectacles. You end up with either a hint for something else or a squab. 7. Walk to beggar and give him the squab. He gives you a ticket for the balloon. 8. Talk to knife thrower. Sophia will not volunteer. Carry on with various options until she can be pushed in front of knife thrower. You will be given a knife. 9. Walk to roof and give balloon ticket. 10. Use knife on rope. In Balloon: ---------- 1. Nomad camp due south east of village. Talk to nomad: c,a,b, advised to go southwest. 2. Get back in balloon. 3. Go south, at next camp talk to nomad: b,a,a, advised to go south and west. 4. Get in balloon. 5. Head west, talk to nomad: b,a,a, head north and east. 6. Get in balloon. 7. Land on X. At Dig Site: ----------- 1. Look at engine in truck (spark plug missing). 2. Climb down ladder. 3. Touch long tubular thing and pick it up. 4. Touch piece of wood and pick it up. 5. Touch clay jar and pick it up. 6. Touch blunt wood thing and pick it up. 7. Touch little metal thing; it may be a switch. Operate switch. The generator is out of petrol. 8. Climb ladder. 9. Use hose with gas tank and use pot with end of hose. This fills jar. 10. Climb ladder. 11. Open little cap and use jar with little cap. 12. Push little metal thing and the generator will start. 13. Look at painting. 14. Look at painting of round object. 15. Walk to crumbling wall and use ship's rib with crumbling wall. 16. Use peg with crumbling rock wall. 17. Use sunstone with peg. 18. Look at sunstone. 19. Set hot sunlight (noon) between tall horns and press peg. A door will open and Sophia will come out. She will give you a distributor cap and an amber fish. 20. Pick up sunstone and peg. 21. Open generator. 22. Push button and pick up ceramic thing (spark plug). 23. Climb ladder. 24. Use distributor cap with engine. Use spark plug with spark plug. 25. Close hood. 26. Use truck. Crete: ----- 1. Walk to path and then walk to temple type entrance. 2. Walk across bridge. 3. Pick up transit and walk down to village. 4. Walk into entrance of building with no roof. 5. Look at mural. It's a bull's head, horns and tail. 6. Walk to pile of stones which are orange in colour and look at them. 7. Push stones to reveal a bull's tail. 8. Use bull's tail with transit. 9. Use transit on statue and position it so that it lines up with the right-hand horn and look through it. Indy says I see the right horn. 10. Walk to right-hand pile of stones and look at them. Push stones to reveal a bull's head statue. 11. Use transit on bull's head statue and line up left-hand horn. 12. Walk to X marks the spot. 13. Use ship's rib with X marks the spot 14. Pick up disk. 15. Walk back to first scene with pedestal. 16. Use sunstone with pedestal and use moonstone with sunstone. Sun dying as new moon born. 17. Set noon sun and waning moon. 18. Secret entrance opens. 19. Pick up sunstone and moonstone. 20. Go in secret entrance. In Cave: ------- 1. Look at statues. Apollo, Zeus and Ares. 2. Pick up Apollo and Zeus heads and go through door. 3. Go up stairs and through doorway. 4. Exit through left door. 5. Exit through right door. 6. Exit through left door. You enter a room with the minotaur statue. 7. Look at statue. Look at statue head. 8. Use whip on statue head and the floor will lower. 9. Look at Prof Sternhart. 10. Pick up staff. 11. Pick up worldstone. 12. Go through doorway. You will come across a closed gate. 13. Talk to Sophia. She can be talked into climbing through small hole. 14. Go back into room with Sternhart and use clay jar with waterfall then use chain. You will climb it and come out of a hidden door. 15. Exit right and then exit through second door. 16. Exit through second door you enter a room with a gate in it. Put both heads (Apollo and Zeus) on shelf. 17. Return to the secret entrance. 18. Pick up last head (Ares) and quickly go through doorway. The gate will close behind you. 19. Return to the room with a gate in it and put the last head on the shelf. The gate will open. 20. Go in doorway. 21. Find room with gold box. Use staff with chock to free counterweight. 22. Find room with statue face in it (below room with gold box). Use staff in mouth. Indy will be taken up on a platform. 23. Pick up gold box and open it revealing two beads. 24. Return to Sophia. 25. Exit through doorway and exit through next door. 26. Talk to Sophia. Use options b,c,a,a,a. 27. Use amber fish to find location in which it points to wall. 28. Look at wall. 29. Use ship's rib on wall. A door will be revealed. 30. Walk through door and pick up orichalcum. 31. Exit through right-hand door. 32. Use worldstone, sunstone and moonstone on spindle (Waxing moon skies only reply to the fires below contrary minds). Set waning moon city and noon sun to open door. 33. Kerner comes out. Use options c,a. 34. Walk to rocks and use ship's rib on them. You will appear outside the secret entrance. 35. Walk to submarine. On Submarine: ------------ 1. Walk to conning tower and open hatch. The captain walks to you. 2. Use any option. You will end up fighting him. 3. Submarine sails. 4. Pull big lever. It breaks. 5. Talk to intercom: option a. 6. Walk to lower deck. 7. Walk to aft section and pick up bread, mug and cold cuts. 8. Walk to next section and push lever. You will get a screen showing partial ship control. 9. Push switch (reverse switch). 10. Walk to torpedoes and open trap door. 11. Walk right and use mug with battery acid. 12. Walk right. Talk to Sophia: use options c,b. 13. Walk left, open trap door and walk toward forward section. 14. Climb down ladder, go right and pick up plunger from bucket. 15. Climb ladder and walk right to trap door and open it. 16. Go to strong box and use acid-filled mug with strong box. You will get three stone disks and a small key. 17. Walk back to Sophia and the guard by climbing down the ladder. 18. Walk to the guard and talk using option b. Sophia will knock him out. Use option c when talking to Sophia. 19. Use little key with emergency rudder. 20. Return to the conning tower and use plunger on broken lever. You will now be able to drive the ship. Steer it into airlock. This is not a trivial task. Atlantis: -------- 1. Touch and pick up all you can find. (Ladder, rocky incline). You will have to climb a rocky incline in the dark by using the ladder. Sophia will be kidnapped. 2. Open stone box. You will be able to partially see. 3. Pick up metal rod and use orichalcum with it. The room lights up. 4. Touch spindle and use all stones with it. 5. Set stones to (waxing moon skies only reply to fires below. The final entrance yielded only to contrary minds). Waxing moon, darkness and volcano. 6. Pick up stones. 7. You now enter a maze. The route through it is shown on the wall by the submarine. It shows a spiral in and spiral out type of maze. Enter maze, go left and follow passageway. You will reach a blockage. 8. Walk to skeleton. Pick up rib cage. 9. Enter opening and head for the centre. Enter rooms with ? in them and walk through grates. Avoid all sentries if possible, but they do carry rations which can prove useful. You will be able to pick up bronze gear, stone fish head, eel sculpture, cup with water. 10. In lava room put cup on pedestal then use stone fish head in pump plaque. 11. Go to machine room and use lava-filled cup with funnel. Orichalcum beads fall into dish. 12. Pick up beads. 13. Enter rooms to find the grate which puts you close to the statue in the room in which Sophia is being held prisoner. Use bead with statue. It will fall on the guard. 14. Find room which will get you to the lower vent in the room in which Sophia is being held. 15. Talk to Sophia: option d. 16. Go to sentry room and use orichalcum with eel statue. 17. Use orichalcum with fish statue and the doors open. You come out in the room where Sophia is imprisoned. 18. Pick up machine part. 19. Go to machine room and make more orichalcum. 20. Pick up spoked wheel. 21. Go to crab room and use sausage with rib cage. Use rib cage in pool. Wait for snap and pick up rib cage. 22. Use gum with rib cage and walk to canal and use rib cage with octopus. 23. Walk to canal and onto raft, Use orichalcum bead in raft mouth. 24. Sail right in canal and you will come to three spindles. Use sunstone on first, moonstone on second and worldstone on third. 25. You will come to a room with stairs. Sail to stairs and go through doorway. In the room you will see an open cupboard showing the design of a machine. Pick up crescent shaped gear. Return to the raft. Continue to sail right. 26. On reaching an archway at the rear of the screen, stop raft and go through archway. You will see a broken statue. 27. Use ladder on statue and climb ladder. You will see a broken machine. Use spoked wheel on middle peg, use silver wheel in middle, use crescent on right-hand side and gold part on top left-hand side. Use bead in mouth. The arm will move forward allowing the chain to be fitted to both the statue arm and loop on door. 28. Fit crescent on right-hand side and the gold part on the bottom; the rest stay the same. Insert bead and the statue will open the door. 29. Pick up huge pin. 30. Return to Sophia. Give huge pin to Sophia. Pick up cage and use options c,c and Sophia will get out. Then pick up cage door. The hinge pin will drop out. Pick up hinge pin. 31. Return through statue-opened door. 32. Sophia will sense the presence of Nur-ab-sal. Use speech option b. 33. Follow Sophia into the lava room and use options b,c,b,c,b,a,a,c,b,a. 34. Walk up stairs to skeletons and pick up sceptre. Return to hallway. Read graffiti to decode how to steer huge machine. 35. You will see a machine. Climb onto it. Fit sceptre in right-hand slot and the hinge pin in left-hand slot. 36. Use orichalcum in mouth. You can drive the machine by removing levers and repositioning them in slots. You will end up above some lava. 37. Walk out into lava room. Exit through right-hand door. Go in right-hand door. Go in middle door. Eventually by trial and error you can end up on lava. You will see the Sun, Moon and Volcano symbol on the wall. Remember it!!! 38. Carefully cross lava. 39. You will reach a shining city. 40. Walk into city and place stones on spindle. 41. Set stone to design seen in 37. 42. You will now get a number of speech options whilst arguing with Kerner. None really matters. 43. Kerner will be killed. 44. When Indy is on the platform use the following speech options: c,a,b,b,b,b,a,d,d,b,b,a. Sophia will become a god and kill the professor.
