Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (Lucasfilms) Part 2 - Path B: Working with Wits Solution by Kev Phillips First play through the introduction as given in Part 1 last issue. *** PATH B: Working with Wits *** ------------------------- Monte Carlo: ----------- 1. Talk to man in brown suit. Use options b,b,a,b, (answer question from lost dialogue). 2. Ms Trottier gives you a business card. Algiers: ------- 1. Walk to back alley. 2. Talk to storekeeper. Options a,a,c (not critical). 3. Give business card to servant. 4. Follow servant to Omar Al Jabber's house. 5. Walk into closet. Omar follows. 6. Walk out of closet and close door. 7. Pick up stick. 8. Use stick with hanging cloth which is a map. 9. Pick up two statues. 10. Talk to Omar with options a,a,a to find out about dig site. 11. Use camel and ride across desert to dig site. You will need to talk to a number of nomads on the way and show them the map to find the DIG Site. Avoid being caught by the customs officers. These, however, are typical arabs and can be bribed with the statues from Omar's house. Dig Site: -------- 1. Climb down ladder. It's a dark dig site. 2. Touch sharp wood thing and pick it up. 3. Touch long tubular thing and pick it up. 4. Touch clay thing and pick it up. 5. Walk to ladder and then to truck. 6. Open gas tank. 7. Use hose with gas tank and use clay jar with hose. 8. Pick up hose and close gas tank. 9. Walk to ladder. 10. Walk to large metal thing and touch gas filler pipe. 11. Open gas filler pipe and use clay jar with it. 12. Push little metal thing. Generator starts. 13. Push painting of round object. Pick up statue. 14. Push button and open generator. 15. Pick up spark plug. 16. Return to truck. 17. Open hood. 18. Use spark plug in spark plug. 19. Use orichalcum in statue (the one picked up in dig). 20. Use statue with spark plugs. 21. Close hood. 22. Open door and pick up piece of paper. 23. Use truck. Monte Carlo: ----------- 1. Talk to Trottier, option a. Trottier will be kidnapped. Indy naturally gives chase. 2. Indy has to crash into the Nazis to stop them. 3. Talk to Trottier with options c,b,a,c,b,a,a,b,a. Trottier tells you he threw away the sunstone at the junction of two roads. 4. Walk through the city looking at the signs on the corners until you find the right corner. 5. Look at drain to find the sunstone. Open drain. 6. Walk back to hotel. 7. Take a taxi. Thera: ----- 1. Look at crate. Pick up fishnet, walk on path away from dock. 2. Walk to notch in mountain. Look at crate. Close crate. Pick up invoice. 3. Walk to entrance and walk to door. Walk through next door. 4. Pick up entrenching tool. Close large brown door. 5. Use sunstone with peg and set for lesser colony (Noon sun to tall horns (this may change)). 6. Open door (leaving sunstone on peg). Pick up carved sign. 7. Close door and pick up sunstone. 8. Walk into next room to a blocked door. You will find a note from Sophia. 9. Use entrenching tool on blocked door. Walk out of door and to the dock. 10. Give invoice to Port Authority. Speak with option a. Open crate and pick up large rubber balloon. 11. Go to shop and pick up very large basket. 12. Port Authority talks to Indy. Use options a. He will give you the basket. Pick it up. 13. Return to notch in mountain. 14. Use fishnet with basket and then large rubber balloon with fishnet tied to basket. 15. Use hose with deflated balloon rig. 16. Use deflated balloon with hose with vent. The balloon inflates. 17. Use fully inflated balloon to navigate and land on submarine. On Submarine: ------------ 1. Walk to conning tower, open hatch. 2. Go to lower deck. 3. Go to aft section and pick up bread and cold cuts. 4. Make a submarine sandwich by using the bread with the bread. 5. Give submarine sandwich to guard by lockers. Guard goes to make his own. 6. Open lockers and pick up moonstone and torpedo instructions. 7. Sub changes course. 8. Go to the forward section and pick up clothes line. 9. Go left and pick up the oily rag. 10. Walk to aft section. 11. Open trap door by torpedoes. 12. Use oily rag with tangled wires. 13. Use torpedo instructions with control panel. 14. Push launch lever. 15. You return to trap door and walk underneath the crew. 16. Walk to forward section. 17. Open torpedo tube. 18. Use clothes line with launch lever. 19. Use torpedo instructions with control panel. 20. Walk to torpedo tube. 21. Indy changes and gets into tube. 22. Pick up clothes line. 23. Close torpedo tube. 24. Pull clothes line (it's in your inventory). Crete: ----- 1. Use sunstone and moonstone on pedestal and set for GREATER COLONY. 2. Door opens. Pick up stones and enter. In Maze: ------- 1. Pick up two heads. 2. Go through door at back of screen. 3. Go up stairs and then through the left door. 4. Use heads on shelf. 5. Go back to get third head. 6. Pick up head and then IMMEDIATELY go through door (you should just miss it!) 7. Place third head with the other two. Door opens. 8. Go through third door from left to room with a statue of a minotaur. 9. Use whip with statue head. The head falls off. 10. Walk to head. The floor is an elevator. 11. You enter a room with Professor Sternhart's body. 12. Pick up the wool scarf, rubber comb and staff. Now look at note. 13. Go to waterfall and look at it. 14. Use chain. You climb up. 15. Return to room with statue heads in and go through second door from left. 16. Walk up stairs and keep going right. 17. When you get to the lift use staff with chock. Then go back to the bottom of stairs. 18. Go through door on right and straight through next room. 19. Use staff with statue mouth and the staff breaks. 20. Pick up gold box. 21. Open gold box. 22. Use orichalcum in box. 23. Close box. 24. Walk through door (room with minotaur). 25. Use statue with hatch. 26. Open gold box. 27. Use orichalcum in hatch (minotaur smashes through wall). 28. Walk to hole in wall. Scale Model of Atlantis: ----------------------- 1. Use stones with the spindle. 2. Set as follows: EAST SEA FACING EAST (RIGHT) WANING MOON NEXT TO THE EAST SEA SETTING SUN NEXT TO WANING MOON 3. Press spindle. Door opens. 4. Walk through door (not forgetting to pick up the stones). 5. Use the comb with clothes line. 6. Use scarf with comb on string. 7. Use charged comb on string. It points to door. 8. Look at bones. You get some orichalcum. 9. Return to room with waterfall and repeat steps 6-7. 10. This time comb points to the wall!! 11. Use ship rib with wall. 12. Door is revealed; now open door. 13. Go through door. 14. You enter a room with a subway car and an orichalcum bead. 15. Use orichalcum in mouth of subway car. It crashes through a wall. Underwater Arch Room: -------------------- Atlantis: -------- 1. Touch and pick up all you can find. 2. Use the ladder against rocky incline. 3. Touch stone thing. 4. Open stone box. 5. Pick up metal rod and use orichalcum with it. The room lights up. 6. Use all stones with spindle. 7. Set the following: WEST SEA TO THE RIGHT. WAXING MOON AND RISING SUN ALSO TO THE RIGHT. The statue's mouth opens and you use an orichalcum bead in its mouth. 8. Door opens. Go through door. 9. Pick up stones. In Maze: ------- 1. You now enter a maze. The route through it is shown on the wall by the submarine. It shows a spiral in and spiral out type of maze. Enter maze, go right and follow passageway. You will reach a blockage. 2. Walk to skeleton. Pick up rib cage. 3. Enter opening and head for the centre. Enter rooms with ? in them and walk through grates. Avoid all sentries if possible, but they do carry rations which can prove useful. You will be able to pick up bronze gear, stone fish head, eel sculpture, cup with water. You will need to fight one sentry in order to get some sausage. 4. In lava room put cup on pedestal then use stone fish head in pump plaque. 5. Go to machine room and use lava filled cup with funnel. Orichalcum beads fall into dish. 6. Pick up beads. 7. Enter rooms to find the grate which puts you close to the statue in the room in which Sophia is being held prisoner. Use bead with statue. It will fall on the guard. 8. Find room which will get you to the lower vent in the room in which Sophia is being held. 9. Talk to Sophia, option d. 10. Go to sentry room and use orichalcum with eel statue. Statue heats up which must be then thrown into the water. The water evaporates. 11. Use orichalcum with fish statue and the doors open. You come out in the room in which Sophia is imprisoned. 12. Pick up machine part. 13. Go to machine room and make more orichalcum. 14. Pick up spoked wheel. 15. Go to crab room and use sausage with rib cage. Use rib cage in pool. Wait for snap and pick up rib cage. 16. Use gum with rib cage and walk to canal and use rib cage with octopus. 17. Walk to canal and on to raft. Use Orichalcum bead in raft mouth. 18. Sail left in canal and you will come to three spindles. Use sunstone on first, moonstone on second and worldstone on third. 19. You will come to a room with stairs. Sail to stairs and go through doorway. In room you will see an open cupboard showing the design of a machine, pick up crescent shaped gear. Return to the raft. Continue to sail left. 20. On reaching an archway at the rear of the screen. Stop raft and go through archway. You will see a broken statue. 21. Use chain with arm of statue. 22. Use ladder on statue and climb ladder. Open chest plate. You will see a broken machine. Use spoked wheel on middle peg, use silver wheel in middle, use crescent on right-hand side and gold part on top left-hand side. Use bead in mouth. The arm will move forward allowing the chain to be fitted to both the statue arm and loop on door. 23. Fit crescent on right-hand side and the gold part on the bottom left, the rest stay the same. Insert bead and the statue will open the door. 24. Pick up hinge pin. 25. Return to Sophia. Give hinge pin to Sophia. Pick up cage and use options c,c and Sophia will get out. Then pick up cage door. The hinge pin will drop out. Pick up hinge pin. 26. Return through statue opened door. 27. Sophia will sense the presence of Nur-ab-sal. Use speech option b. 28. Follow Sophia into the lava room and use options b,c,b,c,b,a,a,c,b,a. 29. Walk up stairs to skeletons and pick up sceptre. Return to hallway. Read graffiti to decode how to steer huge machine. 30. You will see a machine. Climb onto it, fit sceptre in right-hand slot and the hinge pin in left-hand slot. 31. Use orichalcum in mouth. You can drive the machine by removing levers and repositioning them in slots. You will end up above some lava. 32. Walk out into Lava Room. Exit through right-hand door. Go in right-hand door. Go in middle door. Eventually by trial and error you can end up on lava. You will see the Sun, Moon and Volcano symbol on the wall. Remember it!!! 33. Carefully cross lava. 34. You will reach a shining city. 35. Walk into city and place stones on spindle. 36. Set stone to design seen in 37. 37. You will now get a number of speech options whilst arguing with Kerner. Kerner can be killed by selecting the right argument. Use options b,c,b,c,b,a,a. 38. Kerner will be killed. 39. When Indy is on the platform use the following speech options: b,d,c,b,c,d, b,a,b,b,b, a,d,d,b,b,a. Sophia will become a god and kill the professor. Indy will escape and the game is finished.
