Ishar (Silmarils) Walkthrough by Alex van Kaam This is a walkthrough through Ishar. I will not tell you which characters to recruit or kill, this you will have to do by yourself. Also check the landscape and dungeon for treasures. You start in the land of Fragonir, go south to Angarahn and enter the house in which an old companion of Jarel lives. He will send you to Azalhgorm in Lotharia. Go east to Lotharia. In the south of Lotharia you will find Azalhgorm, he will tell you what you need to finish the game. In the southeast of Lotharia you will find the first rune tablet. Go north to Osghirod, in the north of Osghirod you will find the magic helmet. Go south to Lotharia and then east to Fimnuirh and wear the helmet in an open space. Kill the monster and get the 5 protection rings. Go north to Rhudgast and enter the first dungeon (be careful with the switches because one of them will lock you in). Explore the whole dungeon and you will find the magic flask and the second rune tablet. Leave the dungeon and go east to Aragarth. In the north of Aragarth you will find a merchant who will sell you some spider web. Go north to Silmatil, in the north of Silmatil you will find a turtle. Keep him in your backpack. Go south to Urshurak and enter the town. Enter all the houses on the west square and you will get some information from Olbar. Also enter all the pubs for some info. Leave the town and go west to Kandomir. In the north of Kandomir you will find Jon the alchemist, he will give you a scroll with spells. Go east to Urshurak and then east to Vargaeron. Go north to Baldaron and in the north of Baldaron you will find the magic sword. Go east to Zendoria, in the middle of Zendoria you will find a merchant who will turn your turtle into turtle slobber. In the north of Zendoria you will find the forbidden house, enter here and get your third rune tablet. After you enter the house your hitpoints will slowly be drained. I did the following - put some rat brain in the magic flask and let every character drink of it. They will all be poisoned. Now cast the spell cure poison 2 on all the characters and the poison from the magic flask and from the house will be cured. Go south to Uldonyar and from there west to Gil-Aras. This land is completely dark. If you enter Gil-Aras at the most southern part you will just be able to see the rune tablet. So, get your fourth Rune tablet and go east to Uldonyar. Go north to Zendoria and east to Halindor. Enter all the houses until you meet a man who will ask you to free his daughter. Go South to Elwingil and enter the town. On one square there will be a house where the daughter is. If you have 5 characters you must kill one so the daughter can join you. At another square there will be an old companion of Jarel's who will give you 5 monk suits. Leave the town and go north to Halindor, go to the father of the girl. If you cannot enter the house because one of your characters has other plans with the girl you have to kill him. When you have returned the girl you will get the key to enter the dungeon of Valathar. In the east of Halindor there is a transporter, enter this and go east to Valindor. Here you will find Zack and he will give you some toad eye. Go south to Fhulgrod, in the east of Fhulgrod you will find a pig. Use the ARBOOL spell to transform the pig back into the witch. Let the witch join you and go north to Valindor, enter the dungeon. Explore the complete dungeon until you have found your fifth rune tablet and the magic talisman. When you are at the last door (behind medusa and the dragon) put on your monk suits and the door will open. When you now enter the transporter you will be taken to ISHAR. Be sure all you characters have a mental protection field and go north as fast as you can until you meet KROG (he is the same wizard you see on the intro screen when you load the game). Use the Anti Krog spell from the witch and all the rest you have to kill him................ THE END The map follows on the next screen.
