Contributions My thanks to this issue's contributors: John Barnsley, John Betteridge, The Bitmap Kid, Ivan Broad, Brian Burke, Jean Childs, Phil Darke, Joan Dunn, The Grue!, James Jillians, Jim Johnston, James Judge, Tom Lorimer, Alex McEwan, Steve McLaren, Kev Phillips, Ron Rainbird, Neil Shipman, Roy Sims, Andy Stenhouse, Ian Taylor and Graham Wheeler. As you know, as an added incentive to contributors, a points system has been running from Issue 12 for contributions at a rate of 1 point per published K of information (reviews, solutions, hints, articles etc). The 1992/93 year (Issues 18-23) is now up and prizes have been awarded to the five individuals who have contributed the most information. The winners were: 1st - Brian Burke with 156.3K of info, 2nd - Roy Sims with 152.3K of info, 3rd - The Grue! with 117K of info, 4th - John Barnsley with 84.6K of info, 5th - The Bitmap Kid with 70.3K of info. As you know, "Kedenan" was a regular and enthusiastic contributor to SynTax until his unexpected death in December and would have come in fourth place. So Brian has been awarded a year's free sub to SynTax, Roy 5 free issues, The Grue 4, John 3 and The Bitmap Kid 2. All five of them will each be receiving a 3" Myth and Magic figure from the series produced by Tudor Mint, Brian's figure coming with a wooden base and specially engraved 'SynTax Contributor of the Year 1992-93' plaque. Congratulations to all of you. The winners' points have been zeroed and everyone else's points carried forward for the next year. So in Issue 29, the next lot of winners will be announced. Thanks to everyone who has contributed over the last year - don't stop sending! They can be for old or new games and of virtually any length. You can send hints, solutions, reviews, maps, articles - anything! Ideally they should arrive before the 15th of the month before the disk is produced to be sure of being included in the next issue. Second (or third) opinions of adventures are always welcome. Ideally I'd like ST and PC contributions in ASCII form on disk and, if you send on disk, I'll replace it with the PD disk of your choice. Otherwise they can be sent as printouts, typed or hand-written. If you're sending hints, the "3-in-1" format would be preferred, with a maximum of 63 characters/line. Maps can be sent in any form you like.
