Pistol Problems in Deja Vu (ST) Dear Bitmap, PLEASE PLEASE help me or I fear I'll die of frustration! In the game Deja Vu, how do you get rid of the gun? I know I need to dispose of it because when I get caught by the police they say that the gun is too good a piece of evidence against me. I've tried all sorts of things, leaving it in dustbins, at the gun store and even down the loo, but nothing seems to work. Please help! Peter C, Surrey. Ah! This brings back memories! You are close to the answer already! Disposal of the gun in the toilet is a good idea, but the gun is far too big and heavy to be flushed away. Instead, go down into the sewers, and find the whirlpool. Drop the gun into it and it'll be gone forever! Be careful when wandering in the sewers through, you never know what wild animal you'll find... BMK. Slimy Problems in Humbug (PC) Dear Bitmap, I have a game called 'Humbug' by Graham Cluley and it is a text adventure. My score is 980 out of a possible 2000 and I have completed 45% of the adventure. My problem is that I don't know how to get past the slug in Grandad's Laboratory or the hacker in the tunnel. Please could you help me? Niall Dowling, Ireland. Well, well, well. You sure are taking on a big task here Niall! From what I've heard, this is one complicated game! We all know that a good way to dispose of slugs is to throw salt on them, (it dramatically de-hydrates them you know!). In a normal world we would probably just pop to the kitchen for the salt, but as you might expect, in Humbug it is not so simple! The salt (to get rid of the slug) is in the kettle, but to get the salt the kettle has to be boiled. However, you must boil the kettle in the attic, under the iced-up skylight or you'll have problems with the skylight later. Once you have got the salt, the slug should be easy to get rid of.... The hacker is a much more complicated puzzle - to get you started, he wants a package. You can't get it until you've gone south from the Golden Gulp and to get there, you'll need to get past the bouncer. To pass HIM, follow Grandad when he wakes up, don't just let him wander off. Let me know if you need more info. A Visit to Mars in Zak McKracken Dear Bitmap, I think that I've completed all the puzzles on Earth in Zak McKracken, and believe that I need to teleport to Mars, however I obviously need a space suit first - where do I get one, I've looked everywhere!? Please help - I'm having real problems! John Morris, Essex. Yes, Zac McKracken is not the easiest of games so I sympathise with you! If you HAVE completed all the puzzles so far in the game, then yes you need to go to Mars. The space suit must be 'made' by Zak himself. Up to this point some of the things you should have collected are: The wet-suit, air tank, fish bowl and tool kit. First put Sushi (the fish) into the lamp on Zak's desk. Now use the tape (from the tool kit) on the empty fish bowl. Next, put on the wet-suit, oxygen tank and then the fish bowl. Turn on the oxygen and use the appropriate crystal to teleport to the Mars Face Chamber!
