The Maze - on SynTax PD 461 (3D Construction Kit game for ST) A second opinion by James Judge on an STe Sorry, no. I totally disagree with what James Jillians said about this game. I'm no great fan of 3DCK games myself (who really is?) as there is no real scope for difficult and brain taxing problems but this game is quite good, for a 3DCK game. As James says, the graphics are not wonderful and the sound is abysmal but, to go with that, so is the game-play. Take the first 'lobby' or level. I know the first level of a game is meant to be simple and just an introduction to the game but this one is SO easy. I had completed three of the five games within five minutes and the fourth didn't take a lot of time. The second lobby was just as easy but you could only enter each room once which was only a minor inconvenience. The actual puzzles themselves are also too easy but, on a good point, they are very varied. They range from logic problems to 'move around the room on narrow ledges before the time runs out' type and the classic sliding letters stuff and, of course, the obligatory maze. All in all a boring game that soon becomes a chore and is far too easy. The disk with the game now resides in the 'I've got it but I won't play it' part of my disk box. Buy Unnkulian 1 or 2 or Star Portal if you want something good for your œ2.50, not this. You'll either get bored with it quickly or complete it. Whichever happens first.
