BMK BMK -*- R O B I N H O O D - T H E S O L U T I O N -*- Article by The Bitmap Kid If you're not a Rambo of the sword, a James Bond of Old England, an Indiana of the forest, or if you're just a bit &!$œ at computer games, you might just want some help with Millennium's Robin Hood. So 'the chosen one', me, has appeared to help you out... A New World Let's face it, the person who first said "Let's make tracks" wasn't very bright. I mean, EVERYONE knows if you don't want to be followed, DON'T make tracks. It's common sense. So why, oh why, did he say it? Perhaps he kept getting lost? If you're new to Millennium's Robin Hood, when you start off on your adventure you will probably find you're a trifle lost yourself. Robin was clever enough not to make tracks, (to stop the sheriff's men from finding him). However, this does leave you with one slight problem - where the hell are you? More to the point, where the hell is everything else? To cure this dilemma you must first find out where everything is so you can visit places quickly later in the game. Explore the lands and get to know where everything is that you think will be important. Women (ER, WELL, UM, YOU SEE, THEY, I, THEM AND I, WELL...) Don't be too shy about this bit, but you've got to get to know Maid Marian, so to speak. (ER, WELL, UM, YOU SEE, THEY, I, THEM AND I, WELL...) Whenever you see her, (...GULP...) talk to her, (...OH NO!!...) and Robin will pay her compliments like any hero should a pretty young girl. Follow her along while talking to her (...CAN'T YOU DO THAT?...) and eventually she will give you a ring, which you can use later on in the game. Okay, you can leave her alone now. (Phew!) Deadly dangerous dragons...! Throughout the game you'll be hearing of (and maybe seeing) an 'orrible dragon who is rampaging through the quiet lands eating the 'likkle people. It is up to you to rid Sherwood of this menace. Find the dragon's tunnel and wait for him. If he doesn't appear after a few moments, go off to the next attack scene. When you find him, don't try to kill him, you'll end up like you've been sun-bathing under the ozone hole for half an hour (toasted). Instead, all you have to do is talk to the (big) little chappie, and you'll find he has a thorn in his paw! Remove it for him and he'll give you a fire weapon for use later in the game. The merry men must meet By now, you could have noticed fat 'ol Friar Tuck wandering about. He has a set pattern of travel, to the castle to collect cash and then back to his monastery. While he's on his way back rob him and then follow him for a bit. After a while you must talk to him and he will join you. When he does this he will give you a monk's habit which you can later use as a disguise. Now you must recruit a few more (soon to be) Merry Men... Go to the bridge in the South East corner and fight Little John. When the blows have stopped coming he will join you as well. Finally, when the hanging is about to take place rush off and attack the guard. The man you save will be Will Scarlet, and he'll complete your little band, giving you a horn so you can summon the men when you need them. Now go to the North West corner of the map and talk to the hermit who will give you a map to help you get around. In this life, one thing counts... When all this has been done go off and continue your job of robbing from the rich and giving to the poor until you get really popular with the people of Sherwood. That's All Folks! (Almost) Now use the horn to summon your men. Wear the Monk's habit and enter the castle. Before you can progress all the guards must be killed, but you can leave this to your men. Now kill the sheriff and that's it. The end! Now you can lie back and feel the satisfaction of finishing the game. What do you mean "What satisfaction?"? As you return to the twentieth century, you wonder: Why the hell did I spend œ20 on this stupid game!? - (Er, sorry Millennium!) BMK BMK
