                      Part I  -  Introduction

Role playing games were originally mental and pencil and paper
games. The players created their character's portrait in their
heads and created an atmosphere between them. The game Dungeons
and Dragons really 'took off' with a 'bang' and soon had a massive
amount of players and playing aids alike. Soon, however, players
wanted to have their champions and enemies in physical form, and
so we have the birth of miniatures.

Today the RPG accessories industry is massive, churning out
thousands of new miniatures a year. In this new series I'll try
and give you some tips on making small pieces of metal in the shape
of people into figures to be proud of!
