BMK BMK The Bitmap Kid Presents... ----------------------------- AN XLent Review of KIXX XL's Recent Adventure Re-Releases ------------------------------- Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade - Atari ST/STE/PC/AMIGA - around œ15.00 To save you mortals who have been forced to see the film 1000 times I will not go into the plot as anyone who hasn't seen the film must have been in deep space for the last ten years. The game system is like that of Monkey Island. In fact, it IS the system of Monkey Island! Monkey Island was one of the greatest adventures of all time - and years ago I would have said the control system was second to none. Nowadays, however, it's getting very dated and I must say that, for me, it just doesn't work in this game at all for some reason. This game has very big, quite well-drawn, bold graphics that would instantly appeal to younger players, however this fact is let down by the whole game in general which doesn't seem to cater that well for those younger players. The sound is fairly good, but nothing really amazing and the effects are just standard. The game itself is fairly difficult but the puzzles don't seem to be amazingly good. All in all, this Indiana Jones is okay, but I've seen it all before and there is little that is original in the game. If you've got some pennies to spare and haven't got anything to spend them on then by all means get this game, it's not all bad. But then again you could save up and get something a whole lot better another time!
