Jungle Quest - part of SynTax PD 566 (Text and graphics adventure for Amiga) Reviewed on Amiga 500 by Janice Charnley Jungle Quest is a sample text and graphics adventure by Kevin Kelm. It has been written to demonstrate the Adventure Construction Language's ability. Text or graphics take up most of the screen, with a box at the top right showing your location and inventory. In the bottom right of the screen, a box shows the exits available to you. The graphics are simple but slow the game down, so I preferred to switch them off. You begin the adventure in a float plane which you will land on a river in the middle of a dense jungle. The plane comes to rest on the river bank and you start your journey to the ruins of an ancient Mayan temple, in search of a golden idol. I found this game to be pretty easy (although sudden death does strike frequently in the beginning), and it does demonstrate T.A.C.L. very well.
