Les Manley:Lost in LA - Accolade

                Solution by Dave Stone

The secret is to say the right things at the right time to the
right people. Relatively few objects will be needed. Regular
saving will help if a conversation goes wrong and a character
turns nasty.

You will miss out on the humour of the game if you fail to chat to
the 'extras' and examine all the objects. The solution that
follows is the minimum needed to complete the Adventure - but feel
free to explore further.

PART 1

A :  THE PIT

Talk to the two girls bodybuilding - Christy and Misty.

They promise more information once you have a recommendation from
a friend.

Wander along to the left and have a look at the Newsbox - you
learn about a total eclipse of the sun. Head off towards the large
umbrella to get to the Beach.

Have a chat with lovely Lance (the Lifeguard). Be sure to tell him
about the eclipse, then steal his Bandana when it goes dark. Carry
on the chat and he gives you an intro line for Christy and Misty.

Now, back to Christy ad Misty.  They are prepared to tell you all
you need to know (for now), so don't leave until you have to.
Rock sounds interesting, let's go to Hollywood Boulevard.

B HOLLYWOOD BOULEVARD

Go left pass the cinema queues and say hello to the traffic cop.
He has plenty of time talk as the streets seem to have been
pedestrianised. You learn that a bit of computer hacking is called
for - but first find a computer.  Now chat to the old couple by
the tours office. Why not pretend to be famous - you could give
them your Autograph.

Go straight to Murray's Hotel (You won't get into the Live Show).
Be honest with him - its no good pretending to be a reporter. He
will tell you about Blade (over the road). Admire the hotel - you
never know when you might need a phone. After you are shown the
door pop back in. Be nice to Murray and you collect a Mud
Wrestling pass and a roll of film.  Bye bye, Murray.

Talk to Peacechild (he tells you the Boyz are easily scared).  He
also gives you a few clues about the missing celebrities. Then
(and this bit is daft) ask him his name. You get a sharp reply.

Now go left - past Club Mud (Don't Worry - the Mud Wrestling is
for later). Keep going and you are back to the Map. At the
junction of Sunset Boulevard and Vine Ave you meet a Shady
Entrepreneur. Have a chat then give him your spare Map. You get a
cellphone.  Return to Peacechild - give him the phone and get the
first two letters of the password. Run along to the other end of
the road and enter the photo shop.

After a chat give the film to the Girl. Have a photo taken with La
Fonda. Go down the street to the seedy end of town. Use the
Bandana with the Boyz and scare them off.  Enter Lou's. He can be
persuaded to give you a computer in exchange for the photo of La
Fonda. Save the game in anticipation of a sexist moment.

Follow Lou and enjoy the mud wrestling. After the flashback the
Girls will give you a DOS Disk.  Boot then Hack the Computer.  The
password is ELVIS. Examining priority cases gives you two suspects
- so off to the studios to see Maladonna. But call in on Rodeo
Drive first - go to the bird on the bush and disturb it - then use
the credit card to scrape the Guano from the sports car.

C AT THE STUDIOS

You have evidence against the Studio Boss and its greatest star -
so argue with the doorman and he will let you in.  Enter the
second hangar and use the bird's poo to fix the boat. Row across
the lake.  Try to open the door. Talk to the Gorilla and get the
Axe.  Enter the stage door - you are about to become a star.

D THE PRICE OF FAME

Go see Tony Leoni at Sunset and Vine - He sends you to the
photographer. (Try Luther Blue). Then off to Rodeo Drive for some
cheap Plastic Surgery. Get the photos - then back to Rodeo for
some smart gear - Look around - but hide when the Star enters.  At
the meeting do not accept the job - you get invited to the party.

E THE PARTY

Wind up Abe and Maladonna - they may let something slip.
Maladonna is kidnapped - so follow her. Use the Axe to break in.

Save here. Get the torch - then warm up the wax to get the sword.
Use the sword to get the loincloth. Drop the sword and loincloth.
Touch one of the women under the missing celebrities sign - get
some wax. Use the torch to examine the little chap under the red
arrow. Oh Dear.

F CAVALRY TO THE RESCUE?

As Helmut, pick up the sword and loincloth, use the sword to get
some of the wax from the stand.  Use the wax with the acid
dripping from the monster. Use the sword to open the Sarcophagus.
Use the loincloth to parachute down the stairwell.  Use the acid
to free Les.

G ENDGAME

Use credit card on Bimbos.  At the top of the Bell Tower click on
the trapdoor in front of Mad Wax. Use Credit card on Mad Wax. Pull
bellrope. Use small pieces of wax as earplugs. Try to get the gun.
Wait for Helmut to stand behind Wax and push him over the edge.
