Top Ten Adventures @~As suggested by Alex, the old Top Ten has been closed and we are @~starting a new one this issue, which will probably run until the @~end of the year. The SynTax readers' Top Ten up to the end of 1993 was: 1st place Dungeon Master - by a huge margin Joint ( Enchanter 2nd place ( Chaos Strikes Back 4rd place Lurking Horror 5th place Trinity 6th place Wishbringer 7th place Leather Goddesses 8th place Loom 9th place Guild of Thieves 10th place Hitchhikers' Guide @~To register your votes, just send in your choices, number them @~1st to 10th and preferably give brief comments on why you voted @~for each game. 10 points are awarded for 1st place down to 1 @~point for 10th place. This issue, here is Alex's Top Ten From Alex van Kaam, The Netherlands 1 World of Xeen - Finally a good DM clone/beater (Darkside of Xeen & Clouds of Xeen) 2 Dungeon Master - I said in 1990 this will always be my number one, well, Xeen was better. 3 Chaos Strikes Back - Always stays one step behind DM 4 Eye of the Beholder II - One of the reasons I bought a PC at last and it was worth it. 5 Xenomorph - Not very difficult but one of the best space RPGs I ever encountered 6 BAT II - Something different which I kept going back to. 7 Knightmare - Loved playing it and some of the puzzles were very devious 8 Betrayal at Krondor - Something new which I'm still playing 9 Eye of the Beholder III - Not so good as Eye of the Beholder II but still very good 10 Captive - If it only had an ending......... Honourable mention: Might and Magic III: - If it is as good as Xeen it will Isles of Terra probably come into the top ten @~The new running total is: 10 pts World of Xeen (Clouds and Darkside) 9 pts Dungeon Master 8 pts Chaos Strikes Back 7 pts Eye of the Beholder II 6 pts Xenomorph 5 pts BAT II 4 pts Knightmare 3 pts Betrayal at Krondor 2 pts Eye of the Beholder III 1 pt Captive
