BMK BMK The Bitmap Kid Presents... ----------------------------- AN XLent Review of KIXX XL's Recent Adventure Re-Releases ------------------------------- Zak McKracken - Atari ST/STE/PC/AMIGA - around œ14.99 The world is being invaded by aliens with peanut-shaped head using the telephone network to brainwash all humans. It is your mission as Zak McKracken and three of his pals to rid the world of this menace. The graphics in ZM are very big, bold and colourful. The animation isn't the best in the world but is okay. The sound isn't too bad either and the music is bearable. The control is a bit like that of Monkey Island and is overall fairly good. Before really playing the game I would have said it would have been great for kids. After playing it I say it isn't. Why? Because it's very, very hard indeed. Most of the mazes are impossible and I found the whole game impossible and very frustrating - even with a full solution. I would recommend ZM to those hard adventures who want a good challenge only because it's so hard. Otherwise you won't be too unlucky if you miss it.
