Get small-stone (no, it won't accept "stone" as the input), S to small bush, X it, get fruit, X fruit. (You can eat this fruit as often as you need to, and still retain it in your inventory - perhaps you've picked a limitless supply??) N, W, U to top of tree, where you can see a spaceship and alien monster in the distance. D, X tree, X trunk, X door, open door, X buttons, push Little. This activates the panel and you hear a distant humming and crackling from the shaft. Hang around until a frog leaps out, then go E and D the bottomless shaft; you float gently down, and it turns out not to be bottomless after all.... From the bottom of the shaft go SW to the Control Room, where you see a computer. X computer and read the instructions for getting the codeword to activate the teleport system, which will enable you to leave the bottom of the shaft in all the other directions. (The word is "obnoxious"). NE, W, S, E to the Plush Room. X desk and get Zapper and X it. W, N, N to Shaft. You will need the Zapper for the next section, as this is the boring bit where you have to kill the monsters by repeating "attack" incessantly until they die. Only kill the monsters which have something you need, as you can't kill them all and survive. But first a small detour, as you might need a container.... S, N, answer "No" to the question "Are you an Alien?", E, where you slip on the Store Room floor (it's greasy) and bring a rack of jars tumbling down. Get jar, get grease, W, S, S to Shaft. E to High-Tech area, get shield-device, E, kill Air-Squid, S, kill Glisher, E kill Brain-Snuffer (WHO thinks up these names??). X dead monster, X claws, get key. W, N, W, N, kill the BEM, U to Corridor of Green Slime. X all the forms of slime, get slimeball. D, S, W, (kill Spider), N (kill Dragon), W (kill Monster). X monster, X oil, get oil. E, S, D to Blitherbeast. Kill beast and it leaves behind some propellant. U, E, NE to Shaft. S to Central Passage, SW to Room with terrible Odour and hole in the floor. (Save a game here). Enter hole to land in a stinking room, with yet another monster to kill - this time around the shield-device appears not to work, so at some stage of the fight eat fruit, then continue the fray refreshed. S to Garbage Room, X trash to find leg springs, X springs, wear springs. X dust, brush dust, X dust again to get relic. N, U - you jump up the small hole to land in the SE room with the bones. NW, N, W to room with Alien and Toolbox. Open toolbox, X tools - not very helpful, so take a few guesses at the possible contents of a toolbox. (hammer and chisel). N, W to Recreation Centre, X everything and note bookshelves. Guess what would possibly be on a bookshelf?? (Get book). E, S, E, S, S to Shaft. (Due to the rather ponderous nature of this game, it's handy to do all the "Saves" in the Shaft). N, D, E, N, E to a secured access way, where a guard blocks the way South. X guard (he looks thin....) then offer fruit to the guard and he will let you pass, and tells you about a construction manual that will help you.....W, N to the Library. Sit, X book, read book (you discover it will be difficult to understand, even with a dictionary). This is a clue - there must be one here, even though you can't see it! Get dictionary, read book to find a manual on how to build a Jetpack. Read manual - it tells you about "Assembling and Igniting a Jetpack". X relic, and the manual informs you it's a harness for a jetpack. S, S, W, W, N to an artificial-looking area and a rusted door, which blocks your way North. X door, X handle, X hinges; oil door, handle and hinges, open door, go N to a room in disrepair with a large door on the W wall. The forcefield to your North has been de-activated, and you can now exit N if you wish. X door, unlock door, open door, W to a rather dark room and then N to the Trophy Room. In Trophy Room, X case, X trophies, break glass, X trophies again and you see a tube amongst all the other trophies. X the tube and the manual tells you it's a power-tube for a jetpack, get power-tube. S, E, S, S, E, E, N, E, S to the Pedestal Room. On the pedestal is a cylinder covered by a dome, and a keyboard. You have to enter the correct code number to activate the dome, so X keyboard, you find key #7 is more worn than the rest; push 7, the dome lifts up, look, and you find a power-cylinder. Go South to a dimly-lit room with a sign which translates as "SEWUD" if you have the invaluable English/Alien dictionary. This is indeed the way through the maze, but don't go rushing through without examining everything you see. Go E, E, N to a natural limestone cave, get limestone. Then S, E, S, E to a cave lit by phosphorous on the walls. Get phosphorous. If you stumble across a skeleton, there's nothing in, on, or under it - the whole point of this maze is to get the 2 "natural elements". W to a chilly cave, U to a strange maze, then D to the dimly-lit room. Now to start thinking about that Jetpack...... Assemble jetpack, wear jetpack. Go N, N, W, S, W, U, S to Shaft. W to the Deserted Room where there's a hole high up one wall, way out of reach. Ignite jetpack to zoom up to a room with a hole in the floor and runes on the wall. N to Empty Room, E to Statue Room. X statue and pull its arm to open a door in the statue's belly. X door and you see a pill, get pill, X pill, read pill (the 3 letters written on it are RNA). Eat pill to vastly expand your knowledge and understanding. W, S, ignite jetpack to get down to the Deserted Room, then N to Shaft. Nearly there now......... Ignite jetpack to rise up the Shaft to the ground above, then go W and get the frog. E, N, and the Alien won't gobble you up while you have the frog. N, and he will let you pass as you are holding his favourite food, a slimeball. At the palm-tree X tree (it's a pun-palm) and figure out a way to make it laugh, otherwise you can't pass it to the North. "Grease palm", which the tree finds uproariously funny and convulses with laughter, and go N to where the rocket-ship stands. Ignite jetpack to carry you up into the ship. Close hatch. X hopper, which has 2 vials for 2 natural elements and a slot for the power cylinder. X button - it reads Start. Insert limestone, phosphorous and power-cylinder, push Start. The ship blasts off, and you have escaped from the planet and are on your way home. The End! - o -
