LANCELOT ----------- Lovely game from Level 9. Very atmospheric. Good storyline and humour. Excellent puzzles + character co-operation. First class parser, good manual and instructions. Based on the Arthurian legends. This is a memorable game for me as I entered a competition linked to it on its initial release. The quest was to locate a hidden silver chalice buried somewhere in the UK worth 5000 pounds. The clues were in the program and some research was necessary for all entrants. Although I didn't win the prize, I made it to the final and received an award certificate. I liked this adventure the best. Level 9 and the Austin family in top adventure writing form. 2. SILICON DREAMS TRILOGY ------------------------- This consists of Level 9's 3 games-:) SNOWBALL, RETURN TO EDEN, WORM IN PARADISE. Great stuff! Science fiction epic. Snowball was my introduction to adventure gaming and I played it on a Spectrum 48k. I was enthralled by this saga. Much head scratching and late nights solving the myriad of puzzles. Nice packaging and manual. Months of gameplay! 3. TIME AND MAGIK TRILOGY ------------------------- Again Level 9. Consists of:-) LORDS OF TIME, RED MOON, PRICE OF MAGIK A high quality collection of brilliant games. Time travel through 9 different eras. Spellcasting and Sorcery. Great value. 4. JEWELS OF DARKNESS TRILOGY ----------------------------- 3 more classics from L9-:) COLOSSAL, DUNGEON, ADVENTURE quests. Also the first ones released. 5. INGRID'S BACK ---------------- Good comedy adventure with intriguing puzzles from L9. Follow the antics of accident prone Ingrid as she attempts to prevent catastrophe in this amusing sequel to "Gnome Ranger". Hilarious events ensue... 6. GNOME RANGER --------------- The first Ingrid game from L9. 7. SCAPEGHOST ------------ The first L9 game I played on the Amiga. You start off dead and play a ghost. You must adapt to your new existence, meet and make friends with other spirits, and bring the criminals responsible for your dilemma to justice. A 3 part game and good plot. 8. EMERALD ISLE --------------- Treasure hunting on a remote isle in the Bermuda Triangle in this Level Niner. Also the letters of a special password need to be discovered on this unusual atoll. Strange goings on abound! The usual friendly parser. 9. DRACULA ---------- A 3 part game of fangs and fantasy. Can't remember which software house released it. It was written using PAW, I think. Nicely presented with occasional bloodthirsty pics. Fun to solve and a nice period 'feel' and setting. 10. PLANETFALL -------------- Infocom adventure classic. ------------------------------------------------------------------ @~The running total for 1994 is: 52 pts Dungeon Master 22 pts Civilization, Monkey Island I 21 pts Chaos Strikes Back 19 pts Day of the Tentacle 17 pts Eye of the Beholder II 15 pts Frontier:Elite 2, Captive 14 pts Ultima V 13 pts Monkey Island 2 12 pts Bloodwych, Uninvited 10 pts World of Xeen (Clouds and Darkside), Excuse Me..., Level 9 adventures, Eye of the Beholder Sam and Max, Lancelot 9 pts Simon the Sorcerer, Lemmings 2, Amberstar, Ishar, Unnkulian Underworld series, Silicon Dreams 8 pts Railroad Tycoon, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, Cadaver, Ultima VII, Legend, Ishar 2, Syndicate, Beneath a Steel Sky.
