Mugsy's Revenge on SynTax Disk 733 Reviewed by Bill Commons This is a strategy game that compares to rolling dice on your own to watch the numbers. The story line is that you play a gangster in America during prohibition and want to make a million dollars. You start with 50,000 dollars and are requested by various text messages to input the amounts of money you wish to use to buy barrels of alcohol, pay your henchmen, give to the police as a bribe and sell the drink in your bar. At first you cannot afford the prices at the auctions so you have to buy single barrels and then sell them back to the supplier and in your bar. There is not a lot of profit in this, and even then the figures do not add up at the end of the year, this is supposedly because you have a crooked accountant. You are then asked how much you wish to pay to kill the same. I offered all that I had on several occasions but he always stayed alive. Also every so often you are told that the feds have invaded and confiscated your booze and you must pay a fine. This is not my idea of a good game and I wonder why the programmers bother to offer it as Shareware as I can't see anyone sending the registration fee. - o -
