DEATH GATE - Legend - Part 2 Solution by The Grue! @~Continued from last issue ABARRACH Talk to dead worker and ask him for the bucket then go into the cave and take the pile of rocks. Now go to the city and enter the house, talk to dead butler, go upstairs and take the tea set and children's book. Go back downstairs and give the tea set to the dead butler. Go into the clock tower and put the bucket on the hook and put the rocks in the bucket. Then climb the rope, turn the crank and then look at the escapement. A statue will appear, now set the clock to 4 o'clock. Go back into the house and you will be able to enter the study. SCORE 715pts Take the book from the bookstand and read it. Go back upstairs and get the dead nanny to follow you. Go into the cave where the snake is and turn the children's book to the page 'Get that snake' then give the children's book back to the dead nanny. Go to the dead worker and get him to follow you, take him into the cave where the snake is. He will grab the snake allowing you to reach the door with the arrows on it. To open the door turn the arrows in this sequence..... Top left, top right, bottom left, bottom right, top middle, left middle, right middle, bottom middle, top middle, left middle, right middle, bottom middle and finally the centre arrow. Enter the door and talk to the dead dwarf, then go back to your ship and fly to Kleitus' palace. When you enter the palace the guards take you to Kleitus, talk to him, he will offer you a poisoned drink (you can't avoid this). You end up in a cell with very little time before the poison takes effect. Cast hunger on the dog and give steak to dog, now cast possession on the dog. While you are in the dog's body, take the key ring and give it to Edmund, then give it to Haplo. Now go upstairs and take the second bottle from the left, go back to the cell and give bottle to Haplo. Touch Haplo to return to your proper body, take the bottle and drink from it. You will now be cured, take the key ring and unlock the manacles, take the vice and give the bottle to Edmund. Talk to Edmund and ask him if there is a way out and get him to come with you. Leave the cell and go to your ship, Edmund will take you to the secret caves. Enter the caves and talk to gamblers, who will give you some rune bones. Now talk to Balthazar, cast possession on the dog again and you will see a passage on the east wall. Touch Haplo and talk to Balthazar again, tell him about the east wall. When Balthazar reveals the hidden cave enter it, then take the spell book and read it, take the robe and watch what happens. Now go back to Telestia. Go back up the clock tower and tighten the vice, put the vice on the headpiece, now loosen the vice. Take the headpiece and wear the robe, now go to the dead dwarf and talk to him. Ask him if he knows the way through the catacombs, get him to go with you. SCORE 885pts Go back to Kleitus' palace, where you will meet Edmund again. Open the door into the catacombs, the dead dwarf will rush in and a bit of his clothing will get caught in the door. Take the bit of cloth and enter the catacombs, once inside show the cloth to the dog and then follow him as he leads you through the catacombs. When you arrive at the altar take the Stone seal piece and exam the rune on the colossus. Cast unravel illusion on the rune and then put the headpiece in the hole in the rune. Now go back to your ship and return to Nexus, give the Stone seal piece to Xar and talk to him. Go back to your ship and cast rune transfer on the pendant, transfer the pendant onto the steering stone. Use the steering stone to fly to Chelestra. SCORE 990pts CHELESTRA Go to the city gate and cast rune transfer on one of the 4 rune bones you have. Then transfer it onto the spell on the city gate, this will modify the warding spell and render it useless. The protective dome will disappear and you will be confronted by Sang Drax the dragon. He takes the dragon stone from you and tosses it onto the rock pile. Before Sang Drax kills you cast possession on the dog and quickly before he tries to kill the dog run west into the city. You will find the Sartan council, they will restore you to your original form now talk to them. Sang Drax will arrive and take the final seal piece. You will now have to find another steering stone for Samah's ship. Cast create reality pocket on the rug and push the globe onto the rug. Take the rug and go to Samah's ship, put the rug on the ship. Once the rug is in position cast create reality pocket on the rug and enter it, then push the globe and re-enter the portal. Cast rune transfer on the pendant, then transfer it onto the globe. SCORE 1085pts Leave the ship and fill the bottle with water, cast null water on the bottle and then drink from it. Enter the cave and pick up the dragon scales, now go to the rock pile and put the dragon scales on the rock pile. You will be able to find the dragon stone Zifnab gave you. Go back to the ship and return to Nexus. THE LABYRINTH On returning to Nexus you will find that Xar has gone. Take the history book and read it. Now enter the labyrinth and cast cold on the choke vines. Keep going until you reach some tiger men, go back to the first location of choke vines and cast heat on them. The vines will kill the tiger men, cast cold on the choke vines and go back to where you first saw the tiger men then take one of the skulls from outside the burial cave. Go inside the burial cave and take the bone. Go back to the choke vines and cast heat on them, then throw the zinger at the choke vines. When the zinger has recharged cast cold on choke vines and take the zinger again. Now put the skull on the zinger and then the robe on the zinger. Go to the outskirts of the tiger village and activate the zinger. When the tiger men have gone, apply the salve to the tracker, take the cord and put it on the bone. Now talk to the tracker and follow him, he will lead you to a cave and then return to his village. Shoot the arrow at the Chaodin. Once it is dead, drink water from the bottle again and enter the cave. Sang Drax will appear once more, crush the dragon stone. Zifnab will appear and take you through the portal to the vortex. SCORE 1215pts Go north onto the pathway leading to the floating island. You will reach an archway with your double standing under it, your double mimics your movements but in reverse, so to get rid of him you must cast the self immolation spell upon yourself BUT in reverse. This means that the spell you will actually cast upon yourself will not work as it is not a real spell. Your double will then copy your spell in reverse thus casting self immolation on himself. Once he is dead, search his ashy remains. You now have duplicates of your own inventory. Now put the shear on the shear, you will now have a complete set of garden shears. Carry on along the pathway until you reach some tentacles, try and go north so the tentacles grab you, then cut the tentacles with the shears. Keep doing this until your path is clear. Carry on until you reach the floating island. Here you will meet Lord Xar and Sang Drax again. When Sang Drax kills Xar and is surrounded by flames put the water seal in the water spire. Now read the history book you got from Xar's desk, making a note of the six spells and their order (remember Xar has already placed the focus over the starting spell). Now put the stone seal piece in the stone spire, then cast resurrection on Xar, put air seal piece in air spire. Now move the focus over the spells you saw in the history book, starting from the second one in the sequence. Once you have done that all you have to do is place the Nexus seal piece in the focus.
