You can use the CAMERA at any photogenic place and the pictures will appear in your ALBUM. The TAPE-RECORDER will be updated any time you speak to someone. The MAP will also be updated whenever you visit somewhere new. Show the Photos, MAP, and your Inventory to everyone you meet and play back your RECORDER for possible clues. Mountain Pass. Pick up ROCK and throw it at Vulture. Look at Sign and dig up bonding plant with KNIFE. Move on to... Lighthouse. At side of Lighthouse, cut VINES with KNIFE and use VINES with PLANKS to make a RAFT. Go inside Lighthouse and talk to Keeper. Go back outside and click on RAFT. you will float downstream to... West Shanbar. Mayor's Office. Talk to Mayor and examine Files. It is chock full of clues. Cross road to... Schoolhouse. Ring bell with knife and talk with Miss Peepers. If you answer her question correctly, she will give you a NOTEBOOK. (This can be examined for clues at any time and will be updated as you proceed through the game.) Leave the School, face the broken bridge and turn left to.... Old Mill. Enter Mill. Talk with Boos Miller. He will give you a drink. Ignore it at this stage and exit through back door. Pick up KEY and push Chock on water-wheel. Return through mill to... Giftshop. Use KEY on door and enter. Get BATTERY, open cash register and get COINS and TICKETS. Use BATTERY with TELE-ORB. Wizard Trembyle will now appear at various intervals throughout the game. Leave Giftshop and cross road to... Hardware Store. Get BOX and CRANK. Ignore the MICE at this stage. They are diseased. Go to... Bridge. Under the Bridge is the Waif. Talk to Waif and give him the TICKETS. He will give you a GIFT. Return to.. Old Mill. When Boos Miller gives you a glass of Rye:- 1. Make Toast. 2. Pour Drink in PLANT. 3. Drink. Boos will give you another glass of Rye. Repeat two more times. Before the fourth drink, ask Boos for his KEYS. He will give you the KEYS then after the fourth Toast he falls down. A Trapdoor and a SILVER FLASK appear. Get FLASK and go down through trapdoor. Use KEYS with door and enter to... New Mill. Exit Mill to... New Shanbar Moodock's Armoury. Talk to Moodock and play Survivor. When you win he will give you a DIRTY SWORD and a COIN. Leave shop and go to... Ruins. Pick up FRAME and TILES. Put them together to make the PUZZLE. Solve PUZZLE. Answer her question correctly and she will give you permission to take what you want. (Rebecca will appear to you throughout the game at the Vulture Pits, on the road to the Forest of the Spirits and at the Troll Caverns. She will give you several clues to help you). Open door on left. Alexis will bark at you. Open door on right and get MIRROR. Go into Kitchen and get THERMOS and SOAP. FILL THERMOS with water at Sink. Drop SOAP in sink and turn on tap. Wash WAIF'S GIFT and it will turn to DISC PIECE 2. Turn on the Oven, it will explode and wizard Trembyle give you another history lesson. Leave the farm and go to Silo. Use CRANK to open and get CARROTS. Pugney's Ranch Talk to Pugney and he will give you permission to take the BRA BOX. Go to... Incinerator Pull lever 1 to open top Hatch and throw in BRA BOX. Close Hatch. Pull lever 2, drawer will open to reveal a HOT WIRE. Pour water from THERMOS onto it and get WIRE. Cross road to... General Store. Read notices on door and unlock it with wire. Shake CEREAL BOX twice and get WHISTLE. Get RATS and put them in the BOX. Leave store and go to... Inn of Isenough. Talk to Molly. Give COINS and pay for room. Go to room and put ILLUMINITE on Nightstand. Look at Monitor. (If you click on the tuner, it will play all the music used throughout the game). Turn off light switch, sleep and dream. Turn on switch, pick up ILLUMINITE and leave inn. Go to.... Barn near Pugney's Ranch. Get HAY and drop it. Light HAY with Matches and warm hands. Hold THERMOS and milk Cow. Go to... Forest of the Spirits. Go N, E, E, S. Strike tree with sword and get more COINS. Go N, W, W, N, W, S, W. Here you meet the Bowman and the Fairy. Give the THERMOS to the Bowman and cure his blindness. He will drop the BOW and ARROWS. Get them and go N, N. Light MATCH and go W. Here the Fairy will give you a bag of FAIRY DUST. Return to... Barn. Drink what's left of the Milk in the Thermos then feed CARROTS to Cow. Get HAY, drop it, light it and warm hands. Milk cow and refill THERMOS. Go to... Snooks Farm. Go to kitchen, open refrigerator and get MEAT. As you move through the game the MEAT will thaw and turn rotten. Go to... Vulture Pits. Sprinkle FAIRY DUST on MEAT. Throw MEAT. Vultures will eat it and fall asleep. Enter Pits and get TALON. Go to... Blacksmith. Give DIRTY SWORD to Blacksmith. Go to.. Ben Fyshin. Examine KNOT and Ben will show you how to tie a Cow Hitch. Show him a Photo of Rebecca or Miss Peepers or play their recordings and he will give you a LETTER. Give COINS to Ben and hire Boat. Put RATS in Motor and Travel to... Witches Hut. Talk to Witch Itah. (Do not take Bat Cage.) Show her the BOOK. Give LETTER to her and she will give you permission to take the STICK. Use the STICK to navigate your way through the Bog. Click on the ground in front of you. If the STICK sinks, you cannot go that way. When you have worked your way out you will find yourself by the Whispering Woods. Go to... Blacksmiths. Pay Blacksmith and get CLEAN SWORD and return to... Whispering Woods. Drink the Milk in the THERMOS and enter Woods. Go S, S, E, E, S, E, S, E, S, E, N, N, N, E, E, S, S, S, W, S, S, and exit to... Dock. Ring Bell three times and The Ferry-man will appear. Show him Moodock's COIN and he will take you to... Canuk's Island. Find your way to the Hut and use the SWORD on the Knocker to get MAGNET. The SWORD will break. Enter Hut and pick up SCROLL. Read SCROLL to Duck and he will turn into Canuk. Talk to Canuk. Show him the BOOK and he will tell you a joke. Ask him about the BOTTLE and he will shrink you and send you inside Bottle. Look up and you will see a Number on the sail. Go into Cabin, get RAG and examine safe. Click on the numbers until they are the same as the sail number. Open Safe and get DISC PIECE 3 and RUSTY METAL. Clean RUSTY METAL with RAG. and keep hold of it until you leave the bottle. When you do, Canuk will try to turn you into a duck. The SHINY METAL will reflect the spell. (Holding the MIRROR will also work). Leave Shack, Hold MAGNET and Blow WHISTLE. A Vulture will appear and carry you anywhere on your MAP you wish to go. Click on East Shanbar and go to... Blacksmith's Show BROKEN SWORD to Blacksmith and talk Threateningly. He will apologise and tell you he sold it to Ben Fyshin. He will give you a VOUCHER. Go to... Ben Fyshin. Give VOUCHER to Ben and he will give you the TRUE SWORD. Go to.. Witch Itah. Ask her about the Whispering Woods and she will give you permission to take the BAT CAGE. Go to... Whispering Woods. Go into the Woods and open the BAT CAGE. The BATS will fly out and leave BAT GUANO on the ground. Get GUANO then go to.. Inn of Isenough Pay for room and repeat what you did before for dream 2. (If you haven't any money, get some more from the Money Tree in the Forest of the Spirits). Leave the Inn and go to.. Forest of the Spirits. Go N, N, W, S, W, N, N, W, W, N, N, N, E, E, E, S, and you will be at the Tree Spirit. Talk with Tree Spirit then N, E, E, S, E, to Pile Of Leaves. Throw anything but The SWORD at the leaves to spring the trap. Cut Trap with SWORD and retrieve what you have thrown. Go E, N, N, N, N, To Hungry Boar Monument. Strike Monument with SWORD three times and get DISC PIECE 4. Go S, W, N, W, W, W, W, S , W, W, N, W, W. Take Photograph of spider. Return to... Witch Itah. Show Photo of Spider to her and she will tell you about the NECKLACE stolen by the Troll. Go to.. Cliffs of Depression. By now you will have recorded four jokes. Find out where they are on your recorder. Get ROPE and tie it to the Tree. Go down ROPE and into.... Chuckles. Play back the Four Jokes and Cliff will give you DISC PIECE 5. Do not stay too long in Chuckles or your BONDING PLANT will wilt and die. Return to top of cliffs and retrieve ROPE. If you now look at your Photos you will see that the Negatives have turned to Positives and show pictures of the way home. Go to... Lighthouse. Give Keeper the ILLUMINITE and he will let you in. Talk to Keeper and show him your DISC PIECES. He will give you DISC PIECE 6. Go to top of lighthouse and tie ROPE to rail using the Cow Hitch. Tie TALON to ROPE then Throw ROPE, it will make a Bridge. Cross Bridge to... Temple of Bel-Nair. Get SHIELD and enter Temple. Talk to the High Priestess and give her the TRUE SWORD. She will bless it and return it to you. Leave temple and return to... Lighthouse. Untie rope and use map to get back to the Temple. Find your way to the... Dwarven Mines. The Dwarven Leader will recognise your SWORD and give you a HELMET. He will then call the General and they will talk about the camp. Make a note of what they say about Left, right or straight. (It is also recorded). Leave camp to the entrance of the Mine and click on the trolley. Using the directions of left, right or straight, click on the appropriate arrows. You will then find yourself at the... Statues. Put the DISC PIECES in the Trencher and place the following Objects on the Statues. STAFF, TALON, THERMOS, HELMET and BOX, SHIELD and ORB. Push the green button and the Statues will move. Lightning will hit the Disc Pieces and fuse them together. Get back all your objects and the FLYING DISC of FROBOZ. Use Map and go to... West Shanbar. Under the Bridge by the Waif, Fill Flask with River Water then put the BAT GUANO in the FLASK. Go to... Troll Caverns. Examine Skeleton and Note LUD written on the ground. Wear HELMET and carry SWORD. Enter cave Kill Troll 1 with Left stroke. Kill Troll 2 with Up stroke. Kill Troll 3 with Down stroke. When you meet the last Troll, show him the SWORD. He will cringe and say he will give you the necklace if you spare his life. Also he will go to sleep if you throw the FAIRY DUST at him. (Note.: I never found out how to get the NECKLACE.) Leave the Caverns and go to the.... Cliffs of Depression. If you now turn round and go left you will find that your path is blocked. Throw the DISC and it will shatter the wall of illusion, then on to... The Citadel. Fire an ARROW from the BOW at the Hand and the Door will open. Enter and Drink from the FLASK. You will now be invisible. When the Ork appears play back Alexis from your recorder and the Ork will go away. Move to the Bridge and throw things from your inventory at it. The Bridge will sink then rise again. Cross Bridge to... The Final Game. Play Survivor with Morpheus. When you win you have finished the Game.
