BMK BMK The Bitmap Kid Presents... ----------------------------- King's Quest III - The Solution --------------------------------- First of all go to the kitchen and take the bowl, bread, knife, fruit, spoon and mutton. From here go south into the dining room, take the cup and exit to the west, up the stairs. Now go east, look and once inside your room drop all. Get all. When you see the wizard leaving go north into his room. Open the drawer and take the small mirror, then look in the closet. Look behind the clothes and you'll find a map, take it and then have a good look at it. Close the closet and then look on top of it, there is a key get it and then go over to the dresser. Open the drawer, get the vial of essence. Once you've done that you can exit to the south and then take the stairs up to the observatory. Look through the telescope and get the fly. Now go down to the first (ground?) floor, by the entry go north and enter the study. Open the cabinet and look at the books. Move book and then move lever. Go downstairs, carefully and enter the lab. Look, then look at the book. Next look at the shelf and take the six ingredients. Go upstairs, close the trapdoor and replace the book etc. Go south, south to the outside of the house. When you see the chickens, open the gate and get the chicken feather. Head down the mountain trail and at the bottom go westwards. Type in "show the mirror to the medusa" but don't press return, then head west and turn around. When you feel her presence hit return to kill her. Next head south and get the cactus, continue south, south again and get the snake skin. From here head east, when the bird has flown past get the feather, continue east. Quite close to the river is some mud, get some and continue east, east. Next go north along the coast, get some water and keep going north. When you get to the ladder, climb it and then head west. You will come to a town. Head south past the shop and you'll find some stunted trees. Have a look at them (examine) and get the mistletoe. Once you've got that head west, make sure that no one is home and then break in. Once in go upstairs and into the bedroom. Open the drawer and get the thimble, then go back downstairs and exit the house. Have a look at the flowers, you'll see some dew so get some. Head west, then north to the hole. Save the game and reach into the hole, climb the ladder. If the bandit is awake, restore the game, if he's asleep take the purse from him. Look at the map and point to the town. Enter the store, pat the dog, look at the shelf and buy these items: Fish oil, salt, lard and empty pouch. Now head back home (you do know the way don't you?) and return to your room. Drop all your acquired bits and get the fruit. Head downstairs and the wizard will return. When he has eaten and then left go upstairs and wait outside his room. When he has his nap go into your own room and wait for the cat. When you see it take it and then get the cat hair. Now pick up all of the stuff you have collected (get all) and go downstairs. Enter the study and open the cabinet, take the magic wand, close the cabinet and open the trapdoor (as before). Head down into the lab and go over to the magic book is. Open the book to page #2 and read the instructions. Put the dog hair in the bowl and when you're done wave the wand. Open the book to page #4 and repeat following the instructions. Now open the book to page #25 to learn more. Wave the wand. Look at the map and point to the bottom of the mountain. Next go east then north to the cave. Dip the eagle's feather in the essence and fly into cave. When the spell has worn off enter the cave, you will see an oracle. Exit the cave and head west. Across the stream, go north, north, east back to the cottage. When the three bears leave, enter the house and get the porridge, when done exit. From here go west - you'll get mugged, but don't worry - you know where the bandit's hideout is. First, though, go north, when you see the nuts search them and you'll find three acorns, get them and look for the hole again. Save the game once again, reach into the hole and enter. If the bandit is asleep then you can get the purse, look in the corner, open the bin, take all and exit fast. If not restore.... From here go east and then north, dip the eagle feather in the essence, you will be taken to the top of the mountain. Say the magic words, you will land in the chicken yard. Open the gate go to the house and open the door. Enter the study, make sure the trapdoor is shut nicely and the wand is back - everything should look undisturbed. Go up to your room and put the magic cookie in the porridge. Look at the porridge, drop all and go downstairs again, enter the dining room. Now enter the kitchen and when you see the wizard re-enter the dining room. Feed the wizard (hahaha!) and when the spell has taken effect go upstairs and enter your bedroom. Get all, and return to the lab, getting the wand first. Open the book as before and carry out the instructions, recite the verse and wave the wand. Learn the teleport at random and the deep sleep spells, then turn to LXXI and learn the last two. When that's all done you are now a wizard! Look at the map and point to the village. Now go into the bar and approach the three sailors. Give gold to the captain, exit and head for the pier. You will see the ship and the captain, go up the narrow gangway to the ship. To your horror the men turn out to be pirates (gasp), you'll be thrown in the hold. Never mind! Go east and look. Get the box, go back west and drop the box. Jump on the box, jump to reach the ladder and you'll climb out. From here go west, in the captain's cabin open the chest, look inside it and then get all. Exit the cabin and head east, east. Get the shovel then go back west. Re-enter the hold and listen to the mice, they will speak of treasure. When you hear the cry of land, and then drop anchor, pour the sleeping powder on the floor and say the magic words. Exit the hold and from the main deck look for land. Jump off the deck into the water and swim east. When you reach land continue east, when you see the captain go north. Wait a second and then go back south, the captain will have gone. Go up to the palm tree that stands alone, count five steps away from it and dig. Get the chest then go north, then east. You'll come to a waterfall, dip the fly wings in the essence to get to the top and then take the trail east to the place where the trail splits in every direction.... You'll end up on a pathway going south, follow it and then climb. You will come to a ledge, stay away from the edge and travel west to the cave. Enter the cave, it will be dark but keep going until you reach the other side. Go to the end of the ledge, then slowly downwards. About halfway down you'll find there is no footing so go west a little, then continue down to another ledge and cave. Enter the cave, and continue to the western side of the cliff. Go east a little, then climb up to the central ledge. Enter the cave and take the pathway east. Continue east, then south. You'll have a fall. When you get up you'll see a tunnel ahead, enter the hole and go up the stairs. If you have not saved recently, save now. Continue up (twice) and you'll come to a landing. Go out and then rub the ointment on yourself. Go west and when you see the dragon stir the Storm Brew with your finger. Say the magic words and the dragon will be yours. Go over and untie Rosella, get her to follow you and head east, down the stairs and return to daylight. Head west to the place that looks like ruins, then go north towards the castle, following the gnome when he appears. Once again well done - another adventure completed! BMK BMK - o -
