The Orion Conspiracy - Domark (Graphic adventure for PC and CD-ROM) CD-ROM version reviewed by Dave Stone Can a graphic adventure score -1? Half way through this appalling adventure that would have been generous. I first tried it on a 386, the SVGA graphics stood still!, and there was no sound due to Domark's failure to supply appropriate drivers. After six months, and a P120 Upgrade, it ran slightly faster, but with astonishing delays loading each screen. The sound at least was now working. The game rates itself as 18 due to strong language. (ie the childish use of 4 letter words to try to compensate for the poor quality dialogue). The first half involves the tediously slow exploration of a space station with lots of very similar locations. Eventually you find some action and the game starts to play like a poor interactive adventure, ie the plot unfolds for you - the only interaction involving lots of slow walking round the Space Station. The story does however pick up as the horror element unfolds. Possibly the worst Graphic Adventure in the world - avoid. - o -
