TADS Latest!

Just as I was finishing this issue, The Grue rang to say that High
Energy Software, authors of TADS, are no longer in business.
Evidently someone he knew had tried to register TADS, heard
nothing, contacted Barclaycard who said that his account hadn't
been debited, wrote to High Energy again and finally heard back
to say that they had ceased to exist.  Evidently TADS is now
freeware and the latest versions and the manual can be downloaded
from the Net - I'll add the manual to the library ASAP. We don't
know if there will still be any support from Mike Roberts (ex-High
Energy) or any third parties, or even any updates. Third parties
have made additions to the code before, and also performed the ST
and Amiga conversions, so who knows?  We don't have much more info
than that though Grue will find out what he can on the Internet
and I'll pass on the news next issue.
