The DIG - LucasArts RRP œ40 Reviewed by Dave Stone, PC CD ROM version on a P120. Unless you are desperate to collect all LucasArts adventures, this is a misfire to avoid (at least until the inevitable Budget Release). I was less than impressed by - The Graphics - which looked like a hangover from the days of 16 colour Atari Screens. - The Animation - the special effects were less than special. - The acting - which sounded like tired performers putting their feet up after a bad day. - The loading speed for the Graphics screens (Very, very, slow). - The repetitive nature of some of the puzzles. Somewhere along the line something went wrong with this one (I wonder if the first effort - supposedly abandoned and re-written was any better?) The plot is fairly flimsy and padded out by a lot of travelling to collect the right objects. I found it very difficult to feel involved with any of the characters, but the pace picked up as they started dying towards the end. There are much better, and more involving adventures available. - o -
