Internet / WWW Section By Sue I promised you some web sites to visit and so here are a couple for you to check out. The first one will look a bit familiar! http://www.euronet.nl/users/darkside/syntax/ -------------------------------------------- First of all, the SynTax home page has moved. Alex is still making changes to it and enhancing it so it's worth having a look from time to time to see what's new. It is also now fully IE and Netscape compatible. Not much interest in the proposed SynTax chatroom but for those who did fancy testing it out, it looks like we will have to use MIRC. http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/Philip_Reynolds -------------------------------------------------------- SynTax reader Phil Reynolds runs the Adventure Workshop and has dedicated one section of his web site to it. He has also included one containing his own walkthroughs and links to other commercial and adventure/RPG sites. He is still working on the site and more sections are planned (reviews, FAQs, hints etc). The Adventure Workshop was set up five years ago to sell Amstrad CPC conversions of Spectrum games and Phil now has over 100 Amstrad games on his list. Later he started converting Amstrad and C64 games to the Spectrum and, again, there are about 80 Spectrum titles currently available. In 1995 he added 3 PC AGT titles from Clive Wilson which had also originally been Spectrum titles. http://www.users.zetnet.co.uk/kobayashi/ ---------------------------------------- Talking of Clive Wilson, here is his site. Over the years he has written a stack of Spectrum adventures and also programmed Whiplash and Wagonwheel on the ST with a friend and the Darkest Road trilogy using AGT. You can download PC-emulated versions of many of his Spectrum games on his pages - ie ZZZZ, Kobyashi Naru, Shard of Inovar, Demigod, Venom, Nightwing, Se-Kaa of Assiah, Kobyashi Ag'Kwo and Tears of the Moon Incidentally, Clive is also an excellent hypnotherapist and his web site also covers meditation and relaxation through hypnosis. If YOU want to give up smoking, I can heartily recommend his Stop Smoking tape. It helped me enormously when I gave up a year ago! Oops ... -------- A few issues ago, though I'll be blowed if I can find it now, we gave an address for finding Scott Adams games on the Net ... and it wuz wrong.
