KNIGHT LIFE - Zenobi Software RRP œ2.99 (Emulated Spectrum text adventure for PC, ST and Amiga) Reviewed by Mal Ellul This adventure is subtitled The Quest For The Holey Socks....and this lets you know what sort of sense of humour you are in for. I loved this adventure as there is so much to do. I don't normally like interacting with other characters but with a gem like this I don't mind making an exception. The characters are hysterical, although I know there has been a lot of controversy over one of them. The Slag on The Nag seems to have caused a lot of offence, but in Arthurian times she fits in perfectly and I have to say I didn't take any offence at all. The atmosphere in this adventure is wonderful and you instantly feel transported. You have to talk to quite a few people but it was made so simple to do that even I didn't feel the pain!! Most locations have someone or something in them, some having more than one. You can hire characters to help you on your quest but must have enough money to hire and feed them. Time passes as normal but not all places are safe to sleep! There are countless problems, some of them I found easy but others still have me tearing my hair out. Some people have to be spoken to more than once to help you on your way so don't feel because you've spoken once you can now safely ignore them. Always search things as so many objects are hidden where you'd least expect to find them! I have to say this is one of the best adventures I've played in a long time and if there is a sequel put my name down now! Available from Zenobi Software at œ2.99 and worth at least ten times that!!! - o -
