Well the biggest trick in this level is not to get burned, the Doom guards throw fireballs at you when they die, as do the Pyre elements. From the entrance hall go east and then south into the transporter, you will now be transported to an area with 6 corridors, first enter the most west one, here you will find a spinner and a hidden button, push it, then go into the next one and take the gauntlets. Then enter the 3rd corridor and push the button, now enter the 4th corridor and go through the illusionary wall, now go west and south and you shall find a room with a pit, use jump to get over this pit and take the ring, now go north and you will come in an area with pressure pads and fireball cannons, find the golden button, push it to remove a wall that is south/west of this button, get your first Ra tear behind this wall. Now go back to the corridors and enter the 6th one and step into the transporter. Now go north, pass the hall with the two staircases and go east, at the end of this corridor you will find a gold button and a hidden button, push both and go south, over the pressure pad and pushing the hidden button behind it. Continue south and get your second Ra tear. Now go back to the entrance hall and go north, through the doors into the room of the Hierophant, get his story from the floor and read it, now you know why everybody is suffering. Go back to the entrance hall and go west, at the first closed door go north, find the burial chamber of the 8 maidens and continue north until you come to a great square shaped corridor with rooms in its middle, push buttons to open doors and to find buttons inside the rooms to open other doors. In the end you will find your third Ra tear. Go back to the closed door and continue west onto the second closed door, go north and you will find a golden button to the west and two hidden buttons to the east, push the hidden ones first and then the golden one, a wall will now have vanished and you will find two more golden buttons, push these to open both the locked doors you passed. Now go north and find your fourth Ra tear, then explore the rooms behind the doors and get your fifth Ra tear. Go into the north/east corridor and step on the pressure plate at the end to open the door in the northern corridor, go into the north corridor, get the teleport key of the Pharaoh's rest and go through the door. You will now find 4 transporters, the south/east and north/west transporters will bring you back to the staircases up, the north/east will bring you to some rooms you can explore and the south/west will bring you to your sixth Ra tear. Now go into the corridor that starts in the north/west of the room full of transporters and find yet another transporter at the end, step into it and you will be transported near a mouth, push the button on the south/east wall to remove the pushers, then go east into a large room with two doors, open both doors to find your seventh Ra tear and a transporter back. Now go back to the staircases and go west, enter the second corridor to the south, get the sword and step into the transporter. You are now in an area with four rooms, 3 of these rooms have a button to remove the pusher in one of the other rooms. One room has the eighth tear of Ra and a transporter back. You will notice a blank spot in the middle, I found no way to enter it, although there are some monsters in this area. Make your way up to the burial chamber of the maidens and use one tear of Ra on each picture to get Hierophant's quarter seal piece. Now leave the temple and go north, past the sphinx and into troll territory, here you will meet Anhg Krag the troll, you can let him join you if you want, however take notice of the fact that he can't use any weapons and has a limited inventory. Keep going north until you reach the Burial catacombs, stand in front of the right eye and cast jump. -----> Burial Catacombs, Upper Excavations, NPC: None Monsters: Desert trolls and Grave elementals Items: Staff of thunder and lightning, 2 Water skins, Cloak of protection, Gold circle key, Periapt of wound closure, Calcite wishing cup, 4 Potions of extra heal and the Scrolls of Enchant weapon, Cure disease, Raise dead, Ice knife and Create water Your objective in this part is to get the wishing cup, to do so press the 2 buttons in the first east corridor, then go south through the illusionary wall and push the hidden button, then go north, through the door and west to get the wishing cup. Leave this area and once outside in the desert stand in front of the left eye and jump. Enter the first east corridor, push the hidden button to open the door in the north, go through this door and go east to get the gold circle key, explore the rest if you want to, then leave. Once in the desert enter through the mouth. -----> Burial Catacombs, Ground floor, NPC: None Monsters: Desert trolls and Grave elementals Items: Silver circle key, Tekhen's lute, Burial catacombs teleport key, 5 Water skins, Battle axe, Powder of coagulation, Shield, Adamantite plate mail, Adamantite helm, Wemic armor, Troll armor, Keoghtom's ointment, Wand of frost, Composite bow, 2-handed sword +3, 11 Potions of extra healing, Potion of flying and the Scrolls of Fly, Jump, Slow, Heal, Detect undead, Cure critical, Raise dead and Hold monster. Your objective here is to get Tekhen's lute from one of the west chambers that has a hidden button near its door that opens it and to find the silver circle key in the east area also by pushing some hidden buttons. In the north/east you can also get some armor for a troll or a wemic, if you have any of these in your party. Once you have everything you need go down the stairs. -----> Burial Catacombs, Lower Excavation NPC: None Monsters: Shadows and Grave elementals Items: 2 Water skins, Har'akiri axe, Har'akiri shield, Hierophant seal quarter, 3 Potions of extra healing and the Scroll of dispel magic. Push the hidden to open the door, then go to the next door, push the hidden button near to this door and open it with the silver circle key, go into the transporter and you will be transported into a room with two more transporters, get into the northern one and you will appear in a room with an illusionary west wall, go through and south and you will find your 3 Hierophant seal quarter, once you have this leave the Burial catacombs and head for the sphinx. Go inside and find the statue that you couldn't talk to before, give it the wishing cup and choose the wish for someone else, now head head for the village of Muhar. Go to the tent of the old beggar and talk to him, now go north and you shall find a ruined wall with a ghost nearby, play the lute as you approach and talk to the ghost. Now head for the ancient burial hall, that is the big statue in the east, once you are there one of your players will try to enter with the word you got from the ghost, it doesn't work, now use the chain on the statue. -----> Royal Burial Hall, City of the Dead, NPC: None Monsters: Grave elementals, Shadows and Doom guards Items: 18 Water sacks, Lock picks, Dagger of Throwing, Ring of feather fall, Powder of coagulation, 3 Keoghtom's ointments, 4 Flasks of fiery burning, Wand of fireballs, Quarterstaff, Recipe for mummification, Iron circle key, Ring of regeneration, Demon's key, Periapt of health, Shield, Dragon tooth key, Padded helm, Ring of fire resistance, Hierophant's seal quarter, Thron's key, 19 Potions of extra healing, Potion of jump, Potion of fire resist and the Scrolls of 2* Raise dead, Heal, True seeing, Cloudkill, Lich touch and disintegrate. In the entrance area there are 4 transporters and 1 lock, enter into the transporters in the order of north, south, west and east. North you will find a lot of golden buttons to remove walls or open door, eventually you will find some pressure plates, these will open some doors north of it, behind these doors you will find the iron circle key and a transporter back. South is a big area with 3 pits and a door that can be opened using the iron key, behind this door you will find a transporter that will bring you to a room with the demon key and a transporter back. West you are surrounded by pits, these can be removed by (new shaped) hidden buttons, the first one is right behind you, they can only be pressed in one order, once this is done you can continue east, you will then come to a large room full of pushers and two hidden button, push these and continue north to the door which needs the demon key. Behind this door is a large area with 8 golden buttons, again they can only be pushed in one order, once you have pushed them all you can enter a room in the south to get the dragon tooth key and you can reach a transporter back. East is a large area with several illusionary walls, one in the south will bring you to a room with the last hierophant quarter piece, now find the door which requires the dragon tooth key in the north/west and get the thorn key before you enter into the transporter. With this thorn key you can open the wall near the entrance, go into the transporter you will find, you will now appear in a room with a picture of a woman on the east wall, approach it and the picture shall come alive. If you have done all the good deeds to the people in Muhar as written in this solution the guardian shall grant you access to the dead, now listen very carefully to the ghost and he shall tell you that he knew a way of returning home but he was chased into the wall of Ra by the people of Muhar, so his bones and the scroll can be found east of the temple of Ra in the wall of Ra. Leave the hall and go into the temple of Ra, assemble your Hierophant seal piece in your inventory and place it in its holder in the room where the Hierophant is. Now go to the Pharaoh's rest. -----> Pharaoh's Rest, Tomb of Anhktepot, (the first part) NPC: None Monsters: Stone golems Items: Teleport key of Pharaoh's rest, Scroll about Pharaoh's rest, Har'akiri red robe, Wand of magic missile, 2 Bags of dust of disappearance, 11 Water sacks, Dagger, Short sword, Keoghtom's ointment, Potion of speed, 2 Potions of extra healing, Potion of fire resist, Potion of jump and the Scroll of Raise dead. The stone golems can only be hurt with a +2 or higher weapon, like the 2-handed sword you found and the staff of lightning and thunder, you can also enchant a weapon with the magic scroll you found. In this first section you will find several pressure plates, step on them starting in the west, making half a circle, ending in the east. If you did it correctly a wall shall vanish in the north and you can continue, if you did it wrong try again and make sure you start in the west and then slowly going east stepping only once on them. Once you can go north do so, go north until you come to a closed door with a Ankh lock, now go back a bit and descend down the stairs. -----> Pharaoh's Rest, Crypt of the High Priests, NPC: None Monsters: Stone Golems Items: Iron shield key and a Mallet. Talk to Isu Rehkotop and get the key and the mallet, then go back upstairs and go down the stairs west of the entrance. -----> Pharaoh's Rest, Crypt of the Children, NPC: None Monsters: Stone golems Items: 3 Water sacks, Gold plate mail, Gold helmet, Har'akiri shield, Ankh key, Hero's heart, 12 Potions of extra healing and the Scrolls of Summon insect, 2* Cure serious wounds and Raise dead. Go through the five rooms, using the iron shield key, until you come to a room with a Falcon printed in the wall, get the Ankh key, wear the mask of Hator and blow the gold whistle 3 times, the falcon will come to life and it will get the Hero's heart for you. Go back upstairs and to the door with the Ankh lock, open it. -----> Pharaoh's Rest, Tomb of Anhktepot, (the second part) NPC: None Monsters: Dead heads, Pyre elements and Anhktepot Items: Page 2 of the hero and the falcon, 4 Keoghtom's ointment, 5 Water skins, Quarter piece of Anhktepot, Potion of Fire resist, 3 Potion of extra healing, Potion of flying and the Scroll of Raise dead. Right, the first thing to do is head north until you come to a table with a scroll and a door, place the heart in the picture on the door, go inside and get the last seal piece, assemble it and go back to the ankh lock, here you will find the holder for the seal, once you placed the seal into the holder a gateway shall appear, this is a one way gateway into the temple of Ra, go back north. Now the object of this level is to open all the doors in the west corridor using hidden buttons in the other corridors, then use the mallet on the gong, where you found the seal peace, to awaken Anhktepot. Once he is awake don't attack him, just let him follow you to the gateway, be sure you keep your distance, once you are near the gateway be sure you are standing south of it. Anhktepot shall be approaching from the north, once he is standing close to the gateway, on the north side that is, enter it and Anhktepot shall follow you. Note: I myself didn't find the button to open the most northern door so I led Anhktepot through the corridor with the spinners. You will now both appear in the temple of Ra and the Hierophant shall awake, Anhktepot and the Hierophant shall now fight each other, so leave the temple quickly and head east, because of the fighting Anhktepot shall loose his grip on the wall of Ra, so you can now go through it, get the scroll and use it. Congratulations - o -
