The locations for some of the most useful items

Seven League Boots   - Found in the building south of town
                       gates, from where you start.
Amulet of Protection - Found by following the passage after
                       lizard man's cage in the zoo.
Power Gauntlets      - Found in the armory.
Orb of Vision        - Found downstairs in jewellers.
Summoning Book       - Found upstairs in the Scriptorium.

Try picking up the treasure you find, and instead of spending
it ... use it as a weapon. Yes, that's right, folks.  As a weapon.

If you find someone with booty as part of their possessions just
throw a small amount of treasure at them.  This will knock them
out, thus making then drop their goods.  Now all you need to do
is pick them up, then pick up the money you threw at them in the
first place. Now just clear off before they regain consciousness
and beat the %$^ out of you.  Easy Huh.

PS.  Go for the women. They carry much more than men so are much
     more worth the effort.  (Bit like in real life really!!)
