A Quick Look At .... By Sue Twinsen's Odyssey - Adeline Software it's been a few years coming but finally the sequel to Little Big Adventure is here, and by all accounts it's even better than its predecessor with an outdoor 3D environment to go with the isometric indoor scenes and many other improvements including a better save game system which will make players of the first game heave a sigh of relief. Twinsen, hero of the first game, is about to become a Dad (all together now ... ahhh...) but first he's going to have to save the world from a bunch of invading aliens. They sound friendly at first but soon strange things begin to happen and people start to disappear. In order to deal with the aliens, Twinsen will have to explore several worlds, interact with their inhabitants and solve numerous puzzles. Twinsen is easily controlled using a few keys - arrow keys to move, an 'action' key for talking/using and a 'use weapon' key for attacking. As in the first game, he also has several modes of behaviour which he uses when appropriate - these are normal, sporty, aggressive and discreet. Some puzzles are action-oriented while some are more traditionally inventory based where you give objects to people (or rather, creatures) who want them. Clues are picked up during conversations and will steer you in the right direction.
