How do I use the teleport near the beginning of the game?

The monsters here will keep regenerating until the puzzle is
solved.  The aim is to press all 4 hand panels.  There are 2 on
the wall opposite the entrance, 1 in the room where the creatures
come from and the fourth (only visible after the other 3 have been
pressed) is in the little side room.  After all 4 have been
activated the creatures will disappear and you can now read the
writing on the wall and use the teleport pad.
