Additions to the Library Lists in Issue 53 PC Additions: ------------ Disk 1206 contains a new ScottFree modified program which loads the Scott Adams adventures in Vic 20 style via a menu. Disk 1209 has the Brian Howarth Adventures moved from BAT file loading to menu style, as ScottFree menu and with another Vic 20 style menu too. Disk 1212 contains an MS-DOS programmed version of Babel (see also TADS disk 1215) and two versions of Coming out of the Closet, one written using Alan. Disk 1213 contains The Unholy Grail, Breath Pirates and Thypt. The Inform archive on Disk 1082 has been updated with the addition of Inform 6.14 and more manuals, tutorials etc. It is now a 2-disk set and further files will be added as appropriate. New Inform games on Disk 1216 are The Lost Spellmaker, Sins against Mimesis, Mercy and A Week in the Life. WinTADS on Disk 1181 has been updated to v1.1.1 More TADS games have been added. Disk 1199 contains The Sea of Night, 2044 Stormtrooper and The Obscene Quest of Dr Aardvarkbarf which, as far as I can see, looks better than it sounds! Disk 1205 contains Losing Your Grip and Glowgrass. Disk 1211 has Frenetic Five, Zero Sum Game and Consider the Tortoise. Disk 1214 contains two utilities Colours and Z-CUT plus the games A Bear's Night Out, The Edifice, Travels in the Land of Erden: In Quest of Adventure and Zork: A Troll's Eye View. Disk 1215 contains the WinTADS version of Frenetic Five plus Babel (see also Disk 1212). There are some new AGiliTy games on Disk 1202 - E-Mailbox and Sir Ramic Hobbs and The Oriental Wok. Some confusion over Disks 1159 and 1160. I thought 1160 contained the Master AGT game, The Fable - dunno where I got that idea from! It actually appears to be an expanded version of The Detective which is also on Disk 1159. Wasn't sure where to put these: Disks 1210a/b are a 2 disk set containing Level 9 manuals, including scanned pix, and also one for Sherlock. As this is a service, the two disks are only œ2.00 in all. The manuals are in HTM format. Disk 1200 contains more Spectrum files but NO EMULATOR; they are The Boggit, Bored of the Rings, Growing Pains of Adrian Mole, Hampstead, Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Return of the Joystick, Robin of Sherlock, Robin of Sherwood, Shadows of Mordor, Sherlock, The Big Sleaze, Colour of Magic, Very Big Cave Adventure. Bev sent SP Convert (convert Z80 and SNA files) and a new 128K Speccy Emulator called X128 Spectrum v0.71 and this has since been updated to v0.8; they are on Disk 1203 with UnPAW and UnQuill which should let you hack into their datafiles. Check out Blades of Destiny, a new RPG from Spiderweb Software, who also wrote the Exile trilogy. It takes 3 disks for £4.50 There are UHS readers for Windows and Win 95, an editor and 2 sample files on Disk 1204. Disk 1201 contains two emulators sent in by Keeks. They are PC64WIN v2.14, which he says is a brilliant C64 emulator, compatible with almost all C64 software and CPCEMU v1.4, an Amstrad emulator. Someone asked me to supply some kids' CGA programs, they're on Disks 1207 - Math Castle, Wilf and Blox, and Disk 1208 - Brandon's Big Lunchbox.
