WOMAN IN GARDEN - N, N (a strange force blocks the north/south pathway), W (to building site), GET BRUSH, EXAMINE BRUSH, E, S, W (by cottage where a women is working in her garden), EXAMINE WOMAN (she is busy clipping ornamental bushes), TALK TO WOMAN (she asks you to find her missing bull), ASK WOMAN ABOUT GARDEN (she is delighted at your interest and asks if you would like a look at her back garden), W (into back yard which is in a dirty state), SWEEP YARD (using the brush... the woman rewards you with a freshly baked pie), EXAMINE PIE, W (to lawn), EXAMINE SQUIRREL (caught in thorns but you don't have the means to free it yet). LABORATORY CABINET - S (into laboratory), GET GLASS, EXAMINE GLASS, GET RASP, EXAMINE RASP, EXAMINE CABINET (note that it is on casters), SEARCH CABINET (you find scissors), GET SCISSORS, EXAMINE SCISSORS, MOVE CABINET (it won't budge), E (into conservatory), E (by window), EXAMINE WINDOW (there is an opening handle but it is too high to reach), DRINK LIQUID, JUMP (you pull the handle and the window opens), N (onto verandah), EXAMINE LEDGE, SEARCH LEDGE (you see a lever), PULL LEVER (you hear a click and will now be able to move the cabinet in the laboratory), S, W, W (back to laboratory), MOVE CABINET (reveals an entrance to a western passage), SEARCH CABINET (at the side that you couldn't see before is a little button) PRESS BUTTON (you hear a groan of dismay and it is now safe to go south - something shiny lands at your feet), GET WAND, EXAMINE WAND, S (into backroom - note, had you not pressed the button, the ferocious beast would finish the game), GET TROWEL, N, E (to conservatory), EXAMINE MOSS, DIG MOSS (using the trowel - you find a pod), GET POD, EXAMINE POD (it's a seed pod from the moss plant), W. SHUTTLE BIRD - W (you hear a flutter and see the Red-Tailed Shuttle Bird above), DROP POD (the bird eats it and a red feather falls), GET FEATHER, EXAMINE FEATHER (a vital ingredient for your spell), W. LOCAL STORE - N, N, E (into local store), PUSH BELL (note the inner door behind the counter - you see a coin - note the bell should be pushed once only), GET COIN, EXAMINE COIN (golden), W, S, E (into pub), WAIT (if necessary until the shopkeeper appears), FOLLOW SHOPKEEPER, WAIT (keep waiting as necessary until you enter the storeroom at the back of the shop), ASK ABOUT BOX, BUY ARROW (using the gold coin), WAIT (until the shopkeeper goes west), STOP FOLLOWING. SQUIRREL - W, S, W (by cottage), W, W (to lawn where the squirrel is trapped by thorns), CUT THORNS (using the scissors and wearing gloves - you free the squirrel who drops a cloggienut at your feet), DROP SCISSORS, REMOVE GLOVES, DROP GLOVES, GET CLOGGIENUT, EXAMINE CLOGGIENUT (one of your vital ingredients), SEARCH CONIFERS, GET CONES, EXAMINE CONES, E, E, E. ELF/ESCAPING FROM FILTHY HUT - E (into pub), WAIT (if necessary until the elf arrives), EXAMINE ELF, TALK TO ELF (he buys you a drink), GET BEER, DRINK BEER (when your head clears you find yourself in a filthy little hut, bound hand and foot, with a monkey guard), EXAMINE BONDS, EXAMINE BENCH, EXAMINE MONKEY GUARD, ROLL LEFT, ROLL LEFT, ROLL LEFT (you bang your head on the bench and it starts to rain), ROLL RIGHT, ROLL RIGHT (under the hole in the roof... rain splashes on your belly), TURN OVER (the rain softens the leather bonds and you soon free yourself), GET CHAMOIS, EXAMINE CHAMOIS, SEARCH BENCH (you find a shuttle), GET SHUTTLE, EXAMINE SHUTTLE, HIT MONKEY GUARD (using the shuttle), OUT (to eastern end of stockade). IDOL/RETURNING THE BULL - S (to Cloggieland common where the dark force blocks north/south passage), E (to Aurora's canyon), EXAMINE IDOL (in the shape of a bull with an offering plate between the two front hooves), OFFER GIGAFRUIT (the bull becomes placid and you lead it through the secret passage to the old lady who gives you a piece of paper and says you must blend all the artefacts on the table of nothingness before using the magic word), GET PAPER, EXAMINE PAPER (note the magic word), DROP PAPER. ELF (SECOND TIME) - E, E (into pub), WAIT (if necessary until the Elf turns up), TALK TO ELF (he says he didn't know the beer was laced and gives you a small bag as a peace token), GET BAG, EXAMINE BAG (magic dust - a vital element). DRAGON/CROSSING THE RIVER/CACTUS - W, N (by barrier), WAVE WAND (the barrier collapses), N (to common), W (to west common), EXAMINE RIVER, VAULT RIVER (a purple dragon looms up ready to attack), EXAMINE DRAGON (his weakness is his one golden eye), AIM AT GOLDEN EYE, SHOOT DRAGON (using the bow and arrow which strikes him in the eye... the dragon is carried away by the river), VAULT RIVER (using the pole), W (to wasteland), EXAMINE CACTUS, USE SYRINGE ON CACTUS (you extract some sap), SEARCH CACTUS (you see a key but the spikes prevent you getting it), MAKE CATAPULT (using the twig and chamois), USE CATAPULT (you knock the key off), DROP CATAPULT, GET KEY, EXAMINE KEY (a doorkey which isn't finished properly), USE RASP (you file off the rough parts), DROP RASP. OBTAINING THE SWORD - E, EXAMINE BARRIER (steel), OPEN BARRIER (you can now go northeast), NE, S (to common), SEARCH SECRET PATHWAY (you go through to end of lane and the pathway collapses behind you), E (into local store where you notice a fine sword mounted high up on the wall that you didn't see before), WAIT (if necessary until the shopkeeper arrives), ASK SHOPKEEPER ABOUT SWORD (as you helped his sister catch the bull he gives it to you), GET SWORD, EXAMINE SWORD. MAKING THE POTION - W, N, N (to witches' house), EXAMINE TUB (decorated with magic symbols and has a slot in the top), INSERT ALL IN TUB (feather, cloggienut, bag and sap - purple smoke enshrouds everything and when it clears you see a potion), GET POTION, EXAMINE POTION. EVIL WITCH/SWEETHEART - SE, SW, USE KEY (the door opens), IN (to dark satanic mill where you meet the evil witch), WAVE SWORD (you dissipate all the magic rendering the evil witch helpless), N (your sweetheart lies in a coma on the floor), GIVE POTION (what is the word?), PARADISE (your sweetheart awakes.......).
