Fifteen (1998 Interactive Fiction Competition) Written by Ricardo Dague Review by Dorothy Millard (PC Inform Version, part of Disk 1289) At the start you read "Yet another darn treasure hunt game." After a few moves you will meet Charlie who will readily give you his Fifteen Puzzle as he is stuck in it anyway. It is one of those puzzles where you move a sliding piece in an attempt to get all the pieces in the correct order. Instructions on how to play the Fifteen Puzzle can be obtained by typing INFO PUZZLE. If you can't be bothered working out the puzzle typing PLAY CHEAT completes it, but you miss out on one point and will only get 4/5 at the end. Fifteen is a comparatively simple game with the most difficult puzzle being how to have the remote working when you arrive at the security boxes containing the diamond (green) and ruby (red). This took me quite some time to work out. Your movement turns the light on and off so it was obvious that you must move around until it is in the right state, but it isn't quite as easy as it first appears. There are only four treasures to collect so it isn't a long game. Quite enjoyable but nothing special.
