There seems to be a peculiar intermittent bug in this game, where sometimes you can kill 2 of the Creatures (if you've got the appropriate weapons), and sometimes they become indestructible, allowing no time for you to take any action at all. If this happens, then Quit and start a new game, and Good Luck! You are one of a team of archaeologists investigating the remains of a fantastic ruined civilization on the planet Dyanty. While wandering through the ruins you discover a small switch hidden behind a statue. You press the switch, opening a hidden door, and jump through the opening into a Hallway underground. N-E, open cabinet, X cabinet - you find a small remote control. Get control, get blaster, X control - it has a single button and a picture of a robot. W-N to where a defense robot blocks further passage. Push button and the robot begins to glow, then disappears. N to the Central Hub, X the pedestal - there are 6 square indentations on the top surface, each a different colour. SW-SW to the Recreation area. X the door here and you find a small red slot. SW to a Bedroom, X coin, get coin. NE-S to another Bedroom. X dresser (it has 3 drawers), open middle drawer, X middle drawer - you find a blue keycard. Get keycard. N-W to yet another Bedroom, X armor - it will protect you from low-level laser beams. Get armor, wear armor. E-N to Dining Area, get crowbar, X server - it's a machine to prepare food. Turn on machine - a small door opens and a plate of revolting old food appears. Get food. (I never did find out what to do with the food, but carrying it around everywhere made me feel more secure, somehow). W to the Library, get the map and book, and X the map - it's a map of Dyanty, and probably worth quite a bit, if only you could find a way out of here. X bookshelves, and you notice the North wall seems to glow strangely. N (it was only a holographic wall after all) to a Hidden Room. X red keycard - it's used to open electronic locks - get keycard. S-SE to Recreation Area, insert red keycard in the slot and the door swings open, revealing a walk-in safe. East. X box, open box, X box, get red cube. W-NW-NE to the Fountain Room. X fountain - you see several old coins lying on the bottom, and some writing on it. Read fountain, and you receive a heavy-handed hint to drop a coin into it....drop coin in fountain, and a portion of the NW corner of the room opens to reveal a passage. NW-N to a Dim Hallway, with dark shadows in the NE corner. X corner, and you notice a small foot switch. N to Storage area, X chest, open chest, X chest and you find a radiation suit. X suit - it will protect against low levels of radioactivity. Get suit and wear it. Yes! It apparently does fit, even over your reflective armor. S, push switch - a panel opens and you jump NE into a Hidden Alcove. Open box, X box, get yellow cube, push switch. S-SE-E-E to the Central Hub again. Put red cube in pedestal, put yellow cube in pedestal. (Use "in pedestal", not "on pedestal"). NE-NE, get flashlight and X it - it turns on automatically when held or touched. SW-SW-E-E to Biology Lab. Shoot slime creature with blaster, E to Geology Station. Get geiger counter and X it - it will tick in any location that contains radioactivity. W-W-W-SE-E to the Laser Beam room - aren't you glad you're wearing the armor? SE to the Office, X desk, open drawer, X drawer, get magnet. W to the Command Room, and X the door - it has a blue slot, so insert blue keycard in slot, and the door opens. NE, open box, X box, get white cube. SW-E-NW-W-NW to the Central Hub, insert white cube in pedestal. NW-W to the Water station, and pry the grate with the crowbar - it falls down into the sewer, and you see a rope ladder leading downward. Down. You're in the sewer complex under the grate, where you see a laser-equipped robot (Uh-oh), and a nifty pair of black rubber gloves. Now, this is where you might strike the annoying intermittent bug. If you have time to X the robot, you can then kill it. X robot, throw magnet at robot, and it goes haywire and incinerates itself. Get gloves and X them - they are used for high-voltage electrical work. Wear gloves. NE to a sewage pipe, open box, X box, get green cube. SW-U. Now, another tricky bit here. You will see the magnet is still in your Inventory, even though you threw it at the robot, but DO NOT TRY TO DROP MAGNET, as the game crashed every time I tried dropping it. Get ladder, X ladder (it's light and extendible), E-SE to Central Hub. Put green cube in pedestal. E-E-N to a small Research Lab. Drop ladder, X star map - it would interest the astronomers on Earth. Get star map, climb ladder to Telescope Room. Open box, X box, get black cube. Climb ladder (i.e. down to Research Lab), S-W-W to Central Hub, insert black cube in pedestal. NE-NE-N to the Power Station, where a deadly power leak from a broken cable extends across the Western doorway. X leak - it comes from the broken cable, and would kill instantly on contact. E to the Supply Room, get cable and X it (made of strong Dyantian steel and similar to the leaking cable). W, fix broken cable, and the power leak disappears. W-S to the Power Generator Room. Open box, X box, get blue cube. N-E-S-SW-SW to the pedestal, and insert blue cube in pedestal. Look. As you insert the last cube, a large panel slides open in the North wall. N-N-N. You're back in the sunlight, and have escaped the caves of Dyanty! Congratulations, you've won the game! (The scoring system seems a bit haphazard, so don't worry if you haven't achieved a perfect score). - o -
