Contributions / All About SynTax -------------------------------- Contributions My thanks to this issue's contributors: Dave Booth, Carolyn Brown, Steven R Chapman, Peter Clark, Bill Commons, Phil Darke, Nick Edmunds, John Ferris, Diana Griffiths, Stefan Herber, George Jones, Alex van Kaam, Keeks, Tom Lorimer, Dorothy Millard, Steve Provost, Graham Raven, Bev Truter and Andrew Wielochowski Other files have been taken from the public domain, either via the Internet or from CDs. The original authors of these are given credit if known. The latest Contributor of the Year award is made this issue to Bev Truter, the runners up being Alex van Kaam, Julian Gregory, Vic Horsley and Phil Darke. All have won Myth and Magic figures and free issues of SynTax, and Bev's figure came on a wooden base with a specially engraved plaque. Congratulations to all the winners - their points have now been zeroed and the competition has restarted. To recap the points system for the award for any new readers, points are awarded at the rate of 1 point per published K of information in the form of reviews, solutions, hints, maps, letters and articles. Points are NOT awarded for graphic files such as screendumps and photos which are used in the PC 3.5" HD version. The points are added when the data is published, not when it is sent in. Files are published as soon as possible but maintaining the balance of the magazine is also a high priority. The next award will be made next issue - May 2000, Issue 60. In future three prizes will awarded of Myth and Magic figures; the first prize comes on a wooden base with an engraved plaque. Free issues of the mag are also awarded (6, 5 and 4 respectively). Ideally they should arrive before the 15th of the month before the disk is produced to have a chance of being included in the next issue. Second (or third) opinions of adventures are always welcome. Ideally I'd like ST and PC contributions in ASCII form on disk and, if you send on disk, I'll replace it with the PD disk of your choice. Amiga text files can also be sent on PC disk using Cross-Dos, Or you can send printouts, typed or hand-written contributions. - o -
