MIGHT AND MAGIC 6 - SOME SIMPLE TIPS. Hints from Stefan Herber Much of this has been learned by bitter experience. Be warned, the game is huge and mistakes made early will mean that the patience of someone who realizes this halfway through has to be far greater than mine. 1) Make sure all characters are magic casters. Stupidly I started without one only to find that halfway through the other characters were progressing twice as fast as him as spells became increasingly important. 2) Learn air magic mastery as soon as possible, This allows quick teleport to towns even in the middle of a fight. Most towns have a temple that allows full healing of both magic and physical points for a small fee. It also saves days of travelling. 3) Learn light magic mastery as soon as you can which unfortunately will not be until well into the game. Two of the most useful aides in combat are the Day of Power and Hour of the Gods (or is it vice-versa) which boost all your stats and make otherwise difficult fights easy. 4) Ensure near the end that all characters have repair mastery. It gets very boring having to move items to one person for their repair and most of the later monsters have the nasty habit of smashing your swords and armour. 5) Develop learning expertise and mastery soon - your characters stats get boosted much more quickly. 6) Over to you now. There are a number of excellent and comprehensive walkthroughs on the net but none will tell you how not to get killed every five minutes (or so it seemed to me). - o -
