How do I defeat Edward van Helgen in the duel?

He must be insulted so use the glove on him. On the duelling field
close the lid of the middle box and choose banjos. The trick here
is to watch the single note that he plays and match him, when he
goes into duelling banjo mode pick up a pistol and shoot his
banjo.
