On The Net Some 'sites of the bi-month' from Sue Snacky Pete's Text Adventure Archive - http://www.helikon.com/Personal/Pete/Advents/iflib.htm This is a text adventure archive which contains games which personally appeal to site author Pete Gardner rather than a comprehensive collection like ftp.gdm.de which contains just about every shareware and PD adventure ever written. Snacky Pete's archive contains just 60-odd games and these can be listed in the order they were added to the archive, title, authoring system or by size. Most of the games are well known - MD Thief, some of the Unnkulian Unventures, games from John Olsen, Graham Cluley, Stephen Neighorn and more. Solutions are also included if available. www.cowdance.com and www.hamsterdance.com These are two extremely silly sites which just amused me despite having nothing to do with adventures. Each consists of a series of graphics of cows or hamsters which jig about, rotate or otherwise dance while music plays. I recognised the music for the cow site; I think it's the night club music from Star Wars. The WAV for the hamster site is titled 'original dedodo music' and it's much in the style of The Chipmunks. The hamster graphics are the better of the two - I loved the way rows and rows of hamsters and gerbils gyrated and danced the night away. Great fun. - o -
