FRP Part of Disk 986 and on this issue's disk Reviewed by Graham Raven I have to admit it, I really didn't know what I was asking for when I chose this program. Didn't I read all the associated blurb in the SynTax lists? I most certainly did, I just didn't make sense of it that's all! Was FRP a RPG? Well that's what I actually hoped it was, fingers crossed. As it turned out, it was a Fantasy Role Playing aid for dungeon masters who get bored with rolling all those dice. Armed with this program, all they have to do is choose which kind of event or encounter is about to occur in the game they're controlling and hey presto, the program works calculates the outcome. Hmm, sadly not being into such things myself I can't really comment on just how useful such a program is. I'd always thought that dungeon masters had to be seriously into dice rolling, but I could be wrong. FRP's program seems to work very well and is easy to use, and if you're a dungeon master advising a party of role players as they battle their way through various scenarios, then this will save you a lot of hassle! Equally if you're into D&D and roll a lot of dice, check this program out. Regrettably, I very rarely have to roll dice myself, hence the rating. Rating: Fish! - o -
