Letters @~Any letters or e-mails received on an adventuring-related topic @~may be reprinted in here unless marked 'not for publication'. @~First some help wanted by: Peter Clark, by email I have just acquired a second hand Amstrad 6128 plus computer and want to use Protext Word processor with it. Unfortunately my copy is on a ROM in a ROM box and I cannot find a satisfactory way of using this with the Plus machine. (Connections are different). If anyone who has a copy of Protext for the 6128 Plus on disc would like to sell it to me please contact me at 459, Bramford Lane, Ipswich, Suffolk, IP1 5JH Tel: 01473 749987 or e-mail clarkpg@btinternet.com Thanks a lot, Peter Clark @~This was just too late to go into the last issue. @~And from a new reader, who liked SynTax but had a few @~suggestions: Peter Smith, by email (extract) ...I wonder if I dare offer some suggestions - which I won't be offended if you pass on. Firstly how about doing SynTax as a HTML document or set of documents? The advantage might be more portability. But then again what you've got works and if ain't broke don't fix it is a very good motto (which I ought to pay more attention to.) You list a good number of games in the reviews and hints etc - what do you think about listing the kind of game in the main list? I'm more into graphic and text adventures than RPGs (I'm not knocking RPGs and those who play them, it's just not what I'm into) so this would help me as I browse through Syntax. I'm interested in establishing connections with people in the UK who work on the tools for writing Adventure games. When I read books or watch films or play games I have an urge to get in there and do something myself (particularly if the book etc wasn't very satisfying.) The only thing is artistically I'm bankrupt so the programming side is the only side for me. @~Do any of those suggestions appeal to more of you? As for Peter's @~last point, contact him at Peter.Smith@nanning.swinternet.co.uk - o -
