Dungeons of Death On Syntax Disk 880 Review by Graham Raven Let's start on a good note. The title of this game is pretty good! Add to that the fact that the background story isn't the worst I've ever heard either and there you have all the good points of this game. Dungeons of Death is a small game which is pretty repetitive and you quickly feel very aware of this fact. In no time at all you quickly find yourself going round in circles, having picked up all the available treasure whilst dodging monsters and wondering what else is there to do? You can attack the monsters if you like but it seems largely a waste of time as the attack mode is more or less useless. No matter how many cross bow bolts you fire at an enemy you appear to have very little chance of hitting it even at point blank range. Spells may work better - I admit that I didn't try them as it wasn't necessary, just keep moving and little harm will come to you. Go around in circles long enough and you'll find a key which will open the door to the next level, where exactly the same process will be repeated all over again. Find your way to the deepest dungeon level, find the king's crown and teleport to the throne room! This game does not challenge the imagination! Rating: U Bend! - o -
