ALI-BABA'S CAVE - Start in the throne room where you are told by
the king that an evil magician by the name of Roxor has placed his
daughter under a spell and you must bring back a piece of the Roc
egg shell, E (to waiting room), READ PLAQUE (magic words SESAME
and AWAY), E (to palace steps), N (to bazaar), EXAMINE TABLES, GET
silver COIN, W (to gates of Baghdad where you meet a Seer),
EXAMINE SEER, GIVE COIN (tells you about the pools in the desert),
W (city walls), N (into desert), E, N (to ravine), SAY SESAME (a
large piece of sandstone moves aside revealing a cave to the
east), E (into secret cave of Ali- Baba), GET bag of GOLD, EXAMINE
GOLD (leave the magic lamp for now), W, S, W, S, E, E, E (into
shop of Hassan the Weaver), GIVE GOLD (he offers you either some
worn canvas sails or an old magic cloak), TAKE SAILS.

SET SAIL - W, W (to city gates), W, N (into desert), DIG (you find
an old ring in the sand), GET RING, EXAMINE RING, WEAR RING, N (to
oasis), DIG (you find a slingshot in the hot sand), GET SLINGSHOT,
EXAMINE SLINGSHOT, S, E, DIG (you find a scimitar), GET SCIMITAR,
E (to oasis - note the pool here is poison), W, N (to ravine),
DROP SLINGSHOT, N (to sandy beach), EXAMINE SHIP (it has no
sails), DIG (you find an amulet below the sand), GET AMULET,
EXAMINE AMULET, N (on board sailing ship), FIX SAILS (you sail for
Roxor's Island and arrive in two days thanks to fair weather),
DROP AMULET.

ROXOR'S MAGIC TEMPLE/DRAGON - E (to outside Roxor's magic temple),
S (the way is sealed by magic), GET GONG (and mallet), STRIKE
GONG, DROP GONG, S (to front doors of Roxor's temple), GET
DIAMOND, E, GET golden GOBLET, EXAMINE GOBLET (empty), W, N, W (to
ship), DROP DIAMOND, DROP GOBLET, E, GET GONG (and mallet), N (to
grotto where the gate east is sealed by magic), STRIKE GONG (the
gate dissolves into nothing), E (a large dragon is crouched in the
passage), EXAMINE DRAGON, RUB RING (the dragon shrinks then
disappears as does the ring), S (into secret room where there is a
magic carpet), SIT CARPET, SAY AWAY (it carries you to a huge
bird's nest), STAND UP (you see the giant egg of the Roc), GET EGG
(too heavy), CUT EGG (using the scimitar), GET EGG (piece of
shell), SIT CARPET, SAY AWAY (the magic carpet carries you back to
the secret room), STAND UP (a voice says "I put a curse on thee!
You will never get the egg shell to the princess"), STRIKE GONG (a
door opens in the south wall), S (into great hall... the door
closes behind you), W, N.

SEA SERPENT/ROC/CYCLOPS - W (aboard ship where you see a giant sea
serpent in the ocean ahead), EXAMINE SERPENT (it blocks the way
out to sea), GET AMULET, WEAR AMULET, RUB AMULET (must be worn -
it vibrates and the serpent disappears), SAIL (you arrive back at
the mainland), DROP EGG, GET DIAMOND, S (to sandy beach where a
giant roc is), EXAMINE ROC, STAB ROC (the sharp scimitar pierces
its heart), DROP SCIMITAR, S (where a giant cyclops stands before
you), EXAMINE CYCLOPS, GET SLINGSHOT, USE SLINGSHOT (the diamond
flies from the slingshot and hits the cyclops in it's eye), DROP
SLINGSHOT, N, N (to ship), GET GOBLET, GET EGG, S, S.

SEVEN-HEADED SNAKE/VULTURES - S (a giant seven-headed snake is in
your path), EXAMINE SNAKE, RUB AMULET (second time - it vibrates
and the snake disappears as does the amulet), E (to oasis), GET
poisoned WATER (in the jug), W, N, E (into secret cave of
Ali-Baba), GET magic LAMP, EXAMINE LAMP, W, S, W (a flock of
hungry vultures are here), EXAMINE VULTURES (they block your way
into the city), N (to oasis), DRINK (from the pool - you feel
different and are now invulnerable for a short period of time), S,
S (past the vultures into the city), E (the city gates are sealed
by magic), STRIKE GONG, E.

GENII/SKELETON/ROXOR - E (to dusty bazaar where a red genii rises
before you), EXAMINE GENII, GIVE GOBLET (the Genii drinks from the
goblet. suddenly he grabs his throat in agony.. He disappears in a
cloud of evil smelling red smoke), GET GOBLET, E (into shop of
Hassan the weaver), GIVE GOBLET (he takes it in exchange for the
cloak), W, S (the palace entrances is guarded by a living
skeleton), WEAR CLOAK (you are now invisible), W (into waiting
room where you meet Roxor who has made himself invisible but he
can still see you), W (Roxor prevents you), RUB LAMP (a large blue
genie appears, waves it's arms. Roxor becomes visible then turns
to flame and is consumed), W (by throne of the Caliph of Baghdad),
GIVE EGG (The Caliph smiles and takes the piece of shell. he
speaks for all to hear!)

    "My daughter will now be cured and shall regain her
                       consciousness.
          And you will have her hand in marriage.
                    You have done well.
            You are truly the SON OF ALI BABA."
