The Zenobi 'Save Game' CD It's very frustrating to get a game and be unable to get past a certain point. I know that I had awful problems with one early level in Caesar 3 because I couldn't get the required prosperity setting. Everything else was okay, it was just one factor holding me back. And until I solved it, I couldn't get onto the next level ... Luckily Carolyn Brown told me a cheat and I was able to use this to jump ahead, but sometimes there isn't such a simple answer. Zenobi has taken pity on those of us who get stuck, and is putting together a series of CDs of saved games which will let you get into the later levels of your games and get full enjoyment from them. The first CD contains self extracting collections of saves for games such as Caesar 3 (ah-ha!), Dune 2000, Alpha Centauri, Silver and Tomb Raider 4 - 18 games in all. All you have to do is double-click on the relevant file and follow the instructions to get the saves into the appropriate directory. Zenobi suggest that you back up your own saves before you do this! Then all you have to do is load them, as normal, from the load game menu in the game. I checked out the Caesar 3 saves - there are six of them and they unzip into their own directory on the Desktop so there's no risk of messing up your own saves by accidentally overwriting them during the unzipping process. More CDs are planned and John has asked for contributions from users so that we can all share our saves and help each other out. All contributions will be given full credit. The CD costs œ2.99 from the usual address - Zenobi Software, 26 Spotland Tops, Cutgate, Rochdale, Lancs. OL12 7NX Sue - o -
