Adventure 2000 Adventure 2000 is the topical name for this year's convention (usually just called the Adventure Convention) which, for a change, will be held just outside Coventry instead of in Birmingham. I've mentioned previous conventions each year in SynTax, and Larry Horsfield and Phil Glover got in touch to tell me that they'd set up a web site for this year's meeting. It's at www.adventureconvention.fsnet.co.uk There is a lot of information and a number of photos on the site. It will give you the history of the Convention, tell you about the Hamilton Halls Gang who meet every three months in London, and also contains details about Adventure Probe. By the time you read this, it should also have a SynTax section! You can print off a booking form to send to the organizers and order tickets, and read about the Megapoints competition which is an integral part of each convention. The date of this year's convention is 28th October and the venue is the Coventry Hill Hotel, Rye Hill, Allesley, Coventry. The cost is œ5 in advance or œ7.50 on the door if numbers permit. Only 100 tickets are available so move quickly if you want to be sure of a place. You can also get a good deal on a hotel room if you mention you're going to the convention. For those who want to know more, check out the web site. I'll remind you about the convention closer to the time. - o -
